Have seen Dump Cakes recipes forever, but don't remember ever seeing one with cream cheese! Nice twist, especially since they can be oversweet sometimes for my taste....the bit of savory cheese probably balances it out nicely!

if you want to make the whole cake the ingredients are one can of cherry pie filling 8 oz of cream cheese in cubes cake mix from a box and one stick of butter and put nuts on top baking oven for about 35 minutes that's it

Like the idea of adding some cream cheese in with the fruitty part at the bottom. This is good to have as a snack. I like using half of everything so small portions can be served when you don't have guests. A full cake mix & filling works for when rellies come over :) Thanks for sharing this. I'm making it for Valentines day with some donuts too. Leftovers all weekend.

I would like to attempt to make this but am a bit confused: you said in video you were making half a recipe, and I thought you were only going to use half the cake mix, but then you added all. Then in video you said to bake 20 minutes but the written reply to a request for the recipe says to bake 35 minutes. I was unable to find this particular recipe anywhere online.

I make a dump cake..but...I am sugar restricted..I use sf cake mix, put the crushed pineapple, a can of water pack cherries with 2tbs of corn starch ,I cup of sweetener, a handful of coconut, and a cup of chopped pecans..dump the cake mix on all this, sprinkle chopped nuts and coconut and finish by drizzling 2 sticks of butter on top. Voila!!! A sugar free dump cake mix cake...

***** I hope you know that butter doesn't really make you fat. I know, I know it sounds crazy but it doesn't eating fat makes you burn fat. Eating carbs makes you burn fat. It is when you mix fat with carbs that you don't burn fat, and IF the carb is below 50g then you are not storing any extra fat,but you aren't burning it either you are just maintaining the weight. If you wanted to cook a healthier version you could use coconut oil instead of butter, you can buy unsweetened cherries or blueberries and sweeten them yourself with stevia, monk fruit, or truvia. You could swap the cake mix for a gluten free cake mix. You don't have to make it how she makes it if you don't want to, and if you have a problem with how much butter she uses or the shape of her body then why are you on here looking at her recipe in the first place.?
