Thank you so much for this! I'm 56 and just now learning how to do my makeup. I have deeply hooded eyes and lots of wrinkles. I've been super-struggling with how to do my eye makeup. Those other techniques with uplifted outer corners look so beautiful, but I couldn't get it to look right given all my extra skin around the eyes. This worked great, and using bronzer as the brown in and above the crease worked wonderfully! I couldn't ever get the right brown in there until I tried this!

Having my own share of facial flaws, I found that peaking the eyebrow up just a tad bit does help enlarged the eye, particularly when the brow already appears slightly lower than the other. Amazing how optics plays a role in creating that illusion! None of us are perfect! ❤️ Love your application!

I quickly bought several Bite shadows and tried this look with Biscotti and used the Dallas Box o' Powder blush/bronzer by Benefit and LOVED it! It was easy and looked amazing on these tired old eyes 👍

I really love the Julep Shadow Sticks. I love the company. Lots of clean products!! Their cream to powder blushes are amazing too. Desert Rose is the most amazing blush color and I love to use it on my eyes.

Elle, I have hooded eyes. But, I'm also going to Hawaii in 4wks & I am grateful for seeing this video. I think the cream eye shadow will be great for my mature hooded eyes & it'll also be a lovely quick easy look I can do before racing outside to enjoy the beach everyday!

Often when an artist is full of knowledge they tend to come off as a bit snobbish but you share your tried & true knowledge with all of us freely & without an ounce of ill will! Second, I’m just entering my 50’s after a lifetime of ‘sun worshipping’ (quite literally, I served & bartended even if just part time for much of my life & didn’t appreciate my pale w/a few nose & cheek freckles skin, but I loved not wearing a stitch of face makeup w/a deep tan) & also being placed on lifetime steroids which is wreaking havoc on my skin! I’ve been using two caviar stick cream eyeshadow every morning and never ‘set’, they don’t crease and last all day. Love them so much! I’m 42 with a 4 yr old, I need quick and easy and still put together lol

Have you used the new Marc Jacobs gel creme powder eye shadows? They are one of the most lovely hybrid formulas between a cream and a powder I've ever seen/felt- so smoothing and forgiving to the skin around the eyes... I'm in love.

Great look! I started using cream eyeshadows recently, bought from KiKo, because I'm old, I have hooded eyes with crepey eyelids and powder eyeshadows,whether drugstore or high end, don't last beyond one hour. Thanks for this video tips, I'd never thought of using a concealer brush! I also love cream eyeshadows because there isn't any fallout either and they kind of act as a primer when topped by powder shadow. The Kiko long lasting cream eyeshadows are sticks, they come in a lot of shades. When I'm in a hurry, I use them as eyeliner as well. Xoxo

I love cream shadows, and this look is beautiful! I like to do an everyday look with creams, but basically backwards. I like to find a nice brown/mauve tone that when blended on the eye creates dimension where it looks like more than one color fading into the crease, and then I’ll put a satin shadow on the lid that eventually melts beautifully into that cream during the day.

So glad you did this video. I bought a beautiful cream eyeshadow and have been battling with it, will give it a try again. Trying to pause and see how high up you go, as that is my BIGGEST problem, never sure how high up to take my shadow, and end up blending it away! Hi Elle, I love cream eyeshadows! I took your advice and purchased the revlon ones, the last all day and work amazing for oily eye lids. Also, side bar....but I was at MOA , sephora with my daughter and I said let’s go to the Tatcha section and use the products Elle suggests, not only did we have an amazing time, but our skin was glowing. (My 15 year old was impressed, which takes a lot). So thanks, now I just need a second job to get all of it! One for her one for me😀

I’m new to your channel and I’m really enjoying watching your videos and your tips, especially since I am 47 and have dry to normal skin as well and most videos I have watched are usually done for oily to combination skin.. can you please do a video for eye shadow application and tips for large protruding eyes (with soft eyelid skin ☺️) ? I have a Byte multi stick in Cashew, it came in a little set with a lipliner & shimmery gloss last holidays I think? I never thought to use it in this way at all. I just wanted to try out a multi stick product & see if I'd like it for a simplified everyday routine. It kind of got pushed aside tbh. I will have to rethink utilizing more. 👍
