As a 67yo who was a stay at home mom, I took my job very seriously! We did not have much, but I budgeted and found, at the time, it was the only way we could afford to have goodies... ANY day, not just the holidays. My oldest son seriously didnt know what a store bought cookie looked like, until he started school at 5yo. That is something i love to tell about. I didnt always know what I was doing, though the basics i learned from my grandma😊 Once my boys were both in school, I volunteered A LOT and when an instructional aide both my boys had in clasees was retiring, i was asked to apply at the district by the teachers and the principal so i got the job! I vecame their new instructuonal aide for K-1 classes. I already knew the job lol... Best job i ever had! Also heartbreaking at times.😮‍💨 I say this because i can spot a teacher a mile away!!! 😂 I absolutely live how you and Melissa talk thjngs theough and guide thise people who are not so familiar with makjng things at home. I live listening to how you explaiin the measuring and display it in a cery eaay way to be understood by those less confident or seasoned. I also had a feeling you were the first video i watched.🙂 Just had to share that! Its evident to me that you were great and caring teachers! ❤

I enjoy watching all his and Mellissa video's. I'm a senior but if I was young again in his class, I would learn for use. Excellent instructor, so easy to follow. He mentions we don't prefer something , its up to us, to decide what we like or don't. Like his suggestion and let us not forget how well Melissa handles the camera and puts the recipes . Let me start by saying that I'm a third generation, Los Angeles County suburbanite, born & raised. The first time I bought heavy cream, put it in the fridge, and when I took it out, I was sure it had gone bad. It was solid at the top!! Then I learned better, and slightly mourned what I had thrown away! 😂 0:02 By the way, while you were making these, a little song was playing in my head: "Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't. If you are ever wondering what else to use the coconut extract in, try it in place of vanilla in those boil, no-bake chocolate/peanut butter cookies we all love. Somehow it gives the oats a taste of coconut and the cookies are even more yummy! These look amazing and will be trying them!

My husband and I enjoy your videos very much! I bake a lot, and this time of year, butter does not get to room temp. One thing that I do, is cut the butter by tablespoons. Put butter on a plate. Turn on your inside oven light. Put your butter inside the oven for about 20 min before making your recipe. It will be room temp. I hope this helps.😊

Praise the Lord, I don't have the coconut or the coconut milk or I'd make these right now and eat as much of them as possible! I have enjoyed this series so very much, but I know for a fact a diet is in my future! I'm saving this recipe for New Year's treats. I figure I might as well since I've saved and made alot of your recipes for Christmas. I'm too tired to go to the grocery store or I'd go and buy the missing ingredients and make these wonderful looking truffles. I love coconut. Y'all are such a blessing to my heart. I've loved every minute of getting to know you wonderful folks and eating like a queen. Your site is by far my favorite cooking channel, and the wonderful concoctions easily make up the majority in my "Recipes" folder. The chili for hotdogs! We had a little restaurant w/the best chili burgers & hotdogs in the world. The owner never would share his recipe, even after the restaurant closed, so I can't wait to try yours. I love the coconut balls or bars. One year mom and I were making them and we colored the creamy mixture before we added the coconut. They were pretty and festive. I’m a day behind so Merry Christmas Eve. I can’t pick a favorite because I know I’d love all of the recipes you chose.
