You should totally watch Lythero at some point, his videos are really long but there's so much animation and work and love put into them it's crazy. His las Sonic video was the culmination of SOOOOOOO much history. Dude is godlike, and he has cute bunnies that hold him hostage. It keeps him motivated.

The reason why they're so expensive is mostly brand recognition. Michael Jordan is a famous basketball player, so his shoes would surely make me better at basketball. This mindset spiraled into Jordans being seen as a status symbol, enough to make an entire counterfeit industry.

When you walk normally, the bend at the top of your shoe where the toes bend is called a crease. Doing that to a fresh pair of normal Jordans is a cardinal sin for sneaker heads. It is one of the worst crimes to them

If you want to see more of the training arc section of this, Lythero's video for MvC3, Lobby Shenanigans 7, has a bunch in it that Badger didn't show, but it is spliced together with his regular friend group playing the game with cursed mods as well.

Watching this live was some of the most intense Badger's stream has ever gotten. Even better was that after this tournament arc, both Gary and Lythero have joined Badger's regular crew for every game since.

The whole Motivated/Motivation thing is just because Vergil uses that word in Devil May Cry. When you fight him he activates a power-up and says "NOW im motivated!" And things like that. And it caught on haaaard. So fans just say anything related to MOTIVATED when talking about Virgil lol. Also when Badger jokingly says "Virgils not broken he's lore accurate" its so real. Devil May Cry 5 put out a dlc thay lets you play through the story as Virgil (a villain of the series) and he is BROKEN AS HELL but it's super fun so people just started calling his power "lore accurate"

If you want to get into more fighting game content, especially things like Characters, Lore, Roster, Style, I highly recommend Thorgi's Arcade! All his series(Build the Roster, Fighting Game Retrospectives, Let's Make a Sequel and Thorgiween) are absolute bangers and not many have reacted to his works! You're gonna love it!

I played a bit of UMVC3 in College back in 2013-ish and it didn't work out, my brain is hard stuck in Guilty Gear and nothing else feels right. I respect and love the chaos, however!

I only know certain terms cause I used to watch some evo tournaments. For smash and dbzf and tekken…and street fighter…. maybe I do know more than the average person. But I do know I can’t do the inputs to save my life 😂
