This was really brilliant. Just would like to share one learning from my side don't try to work it with 1 data point (for e.g. pizza actual/target) this stops you being able to format series.

Hi Alan.. cool solution. I have another approach which avoids the secondary axis scaling problem. Set up a standard bar chart with both series included. Set series overlap to 100% and then for the Target series, change the color to light green and change the border on that series to the same light green color. Then, increase the width of the border to something like 10 to 12 point and change the join type to Miter (for a flat edge). The result looks the same as your first example, but both series are on the same axis and so there is no scaling issue. The same procedure works for the comparison against multiple grades. You just need to set the border color, width and join type for each additional series, obviously using the same width and join type for each for consistency and the border color of each has to match the series color of each. So, that's my method. Give it a go and let me know what you think. Thanks for the videos.. always learn something new and fun at Computergaga. Thumbs up!
