I know there are digital foiling/spot uv screening machines with mark scanning registration unit out there in the market but those are prohibitively expensive at $200,000-$300,000 /unit. I'm glad that you're able to achieve this with oldschool methods.

Great video! I am just trying to figure out, the cut template for the business cards is underneath the paper card and is pushed up through pressure and then cut the paper. 1.What i don`t understand is how that template underneath is made? From steel? 2. Looks like a cookie cutters that are fixed on that wood frame with foam on top? 3.You have more wood frames with different templates and you change them as you need? Thank you

hello. Thank you for watching. Knives made on wooden boards are made by specialized companies. In Korea, where there are many printing shops, there are usually several production companies. And if the production quantity is not large, the knife can be used for a long time.

WOW...this is great! How can you diecut from digital print? Isn't it the print possition will be unstable? like there will be 0.5-1 mm difference ?

Yes. There are some errors in digital printing. Accurate production is difficult. One of the limitations of digital printing presses. We have researched and minimized how to reduce errors a lot.😅😅

I thought to myself, no way is a print shop in the 2020's using a traditional reciprocating embossing press... but then the camera operator got a close up shot of the foil deposit and what this system lacks in speed and automation it MORE than makes up for in stunning quality
