Since this was done a couple of years ago I believe I have a newer version of Word - regardless this helped me out tremendously! All I had to do after converting all headers to a header style, was to highlight and right-click on my table of content title, select "Hyperlink", and then select "place in this document" which brought up the headers as you said it should. Thought the format looked different for me, the steps were still basically the same with the exception of finding the "Hyperlink" option when I right-clicked, as opposed to finding it in my "Insert" panel.

Wow, this is wonderful. All this while I had a Table of Content, in which I had to use "Ctrl Click" to get to the chapter or topic. With the Ctrl button out, your method is simple and easy. Thanks very much.

The best tutorial out there for this info.Thanks Though I am having a bit of trouble, My heading is of two lines, that is it will be like this: "An intro to --------------" So when I select it and add a style it only selects first line. Edit: That was a dumb question, got it.

Maybe you can put a heading at the end of each content that is hyperlinked with the heading of the Content Page.

My chapters have two lines, for example: Chapter One: (this centered on one line) Chapter Name (right under it). I tried your trick, however, it didn't group both lines together for the style, so it made them look like 2 different ones.
