Thank you so much for this video. Just bought a Cricut Maker a few days ago so a total newbie. Only watched the first 4 minutes so far and I have learnt heaps already, enough to start my own layered shadow frame.

What?! - You can change the canvas to cm?!!! I've only(?) been using Design Space for two years and never knew. That will make things SO MUCH easier - thank you heaps

This is a cute project. I don't have a cricut but I could use photoshop to design my pages and then cut by hand. Much more work but a great way to spend craft time with my girls. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. 💖

Thanks for the great video. I was trying to follow along and do it as you did, but I had to keep stopping and going back. I'm newer to design space so maybe that's why. I had to see when you said the steps you're doing (highlight and slice, bring to the front) it took me a little bit to figure out what you were clicking. So, for me, you saying click X, click Y, Click Delete, Click Slice would have been helpful but I understand if your followers are more advanced than I. Great Video! Can't wait to watch more of you.

Thank you. Recently found you via the Cricut UK FACEBOOK group. I've been dying to try a shadow box. I have some files I was gifted but didn't understand the frame element, now I know it's just Eva foam or similar. I cannot wait to try this!

Awesome! Always enjoy your vids! Did you place the entire “stack” into a shadow box frame? If you do a Xmas one, perhaps you could show the final assembly:)

hi, just wanna ask since card stock are really super expensive in my country and limited in the market, I ordered online and they ship a wrong Item, I receive a calling card A4 size white 220 gsm, would it still work ??? thank you in advance for your reply.

It will but you At have problems finding the right cut settintg so I sheet will need to go towards that. To test cut add a 1” star and a 3/4” heart to DS. Choose cut setting and cut setting. This will give you a good starting block. I would try the kraft board setting first. The you may want to think about the design And how intricate the cuts are. Until you get to know the card this could be a hit and miss deal so be patient and take your time❤️

You mean laying the layers into the frame, placing the lights in and closing the frame?

really lovely project, but you go way too fast for beginners to follow, I don't have a clue what you did when you inserted the tree, or where the gravestones or witch came from?, amazing though, just a bit slower would be nice for newbies to keep up
