This is the most technical thing I have ever done since I started using Procreate and it's fantastic! I confess that I don't really understand some of the settings but IDO understand some of the others - and that's what learning is about. I love the fact that I am treated like an adult in this video. My biggest mistake was not to learn to do this on v4 as some of the set ups are different on v5 and I don't have enough confidence yet but wow - I love the brush - it really suits me and my style so a huge thank you!

Awesome news Neil. I am so glad you were able to follow along even though you are using v5. There is something really empowering about making your own brushes isn't there? You could go buy one for a few bucks but making your own is just so satisfying and it does exactly the same thing! I've just updated my iPad and Procreate so I'll be back to making some v5 videos soon, with luck!

So clever. It’s one of the frustrating things that I find in Procreate that things can move around so easily or that you accidentally draw something with the palm of your hand and you don’t realize it. Thanks as always for your videos they are so helpful.

Interesting! I found these links for you: folio.procreate.art/discussions/4/10/35540 and folio.procreate.art/discussions/4/10/35181 If you read carefully the information on the pages you will see that the Monoline brush can 'disappear' to be 'replaced' by another brush. There is a solution there that will possibly help you. Best of luck!

What screen recorder do you use?
@HelenBradley4 жыл бұрын
Isabel I use Reflector 3 to mirror the iPad screen on my PC. And then I use Camtasia to capture the Reflector screen. It’s a bit crazy working between the iPad and the PC but since I do all of my other recordings on the PC it is best for me to let Camtasia capture the audio and mirrored screen on my PC. I hope this helps. If you have more questions let me know.

I'd love to do this but every time I press duplicate, procreate crashes! Am I the only one?
@HelenBradley5 жыл бұрын
Neil, I am so sorry to hear this. Now I have an idea. Have you totally closed down your iPad recently - ie absolutely turned it right off and restarted from scratch? I would try this. Sometimes, when you open and close things, over time the iPad just gets slower and performance suffers. I have similar (but not the same) issues. I find that turning off the power and restarting and also making sure I don't have other applications running generally fixes the issues. Perhaps, if you haven't been doing this, this solution may help?

@@HelenBradley Hi Helen, so good of you to respond! I just updated to Procreate 5 and suddenly I can duplicate a brush! I followed your advice before but it still didn't work but now it's fixed for me! I really appreciate your time and now I can go at creating my first brush!
