Thanks for this informative video! I'll play around with my pop-up plug in. Had some pro add a pop-up to my site, they didn't walk me through how to use it. The best part is the sign up bonus was time-limited and seasonal! Obviously I've figured out how to shut it off, but that's not helping my subscriber list! You want something done right, you gotta do it yourself!

Really appreciated your mentioning that editing these popups can be problematic. Turns out that was exactly the issue with mine; starting anew solved everything, after way too much time trying one thing and another to find out why it wasn't working. Also, I realized the link in buttons etc is based on the title I gave the popup; Beaver Builder didn't call up a popup by the popup code, in my case anyway. BB inserts the #code but doesn't find it by the code. So knowing the code, it works just as well to insert #code in the link right from the start.

Yeah, its not perfect unfortunately. It's a matter of getting used to the workarounds in these instances.

Hey, thanks for the video. I do not have the popup controls on the side. How can I connect the button to activate the popup? In the plugin is something with css clases but I don't know how to work with it.

If you're using CSS classes, you may need to add a button in gutenberg, then under the advanced area on the right block options, you can add CSS classes in there. I'd use the same text in their as you would add in the CSS classes area of the popup - does that make sense or help?

I'm not so sure about Square itself as I have limited experience, but whatever program you are using to collect leads (like an email list or something) I would create a form specific for that popup, with a tag or segment added to anyone who uses it, then embed that form into the popup maker.

thank you for the video super detailed , after following all steps was able to created a theme and builded the first popup , but i am encountering a problem , After was published didn't showed up on the web .can you tell me what setting i am missing ?

Not sure, have you tried another browser to be certain its not preventing the pop up from a prior visit? Also, could be a plugin conflict, try installing the 'Health Check & Troubleshooting' plugin - use trouble shooting to deactivate all plugins (or theme) but activate the pop up plugin to see if there's a plugin conflict, then through process of elimination activate each plugin one by one, testing the pop up each time (using this method wont make this public, it only deactivates plugins for you as a logged in admin). Otherwise it's hard to tell from here :(

The hash is just there to create an empty link that is clickable, so it won't leave the page. If you aren't using popup controls, you will need to set the trigger and assign a class to the link that matches that trigger

I would say the main way would be to just pop an image in the editor itself. There may be some spacing though, I cant think of hwo to remove that off the top of my head. This plugin may be better: wordpress.org/plugins/pretty-simple-popup-builder/

In triggers, you would need to add under "extra CSS selectors" a name like .popupbox or something (start with a dot) then add that class name to the menu item. Under appearance / menus - go to screen options at the top, turn on classes and apply that class to that menu item (so add in popupbox - no dot this time)

If you can find the Div Class (right click, go to inspect, and you will need to read the HTML), youc an put the div class in as trigger. I hope that makes sense

Hi, i am struggelig with the "targeting" section on the oppup im trying to make. I have a big website, and when i make the popup i shows on every site on the website. When i try to "target" the popup to only one site on my website it still show up on every page. How do i fix this?

Same process as the link. Create a button, click in the button and choose from the sidebar - I just tried it then and it worked :)

Sorry mate I have no idea what's happening there. If you temporarily remove the form does it work? Also, check the settings to see if there's an option not to show to the same visitor twice (I can't remember if it has that there sorry)

Oh not sure sorry mate, could be a plugin or theme conflict. If youninstall sute health and trouble shoot you can test it with plugins off (but publicy they will work) and reactivate one by one to see if theres an issue eith one plugin - then it could just a setting or something? Thats the process id follow to diagnose anyway

Thank you for the great video! I managed to create a PopUp with your help. I made a nice Theme and used it for the PopUp. The in the theme used font color was all white, headline and text. But after I enabled the PopUp my font color is now grey and only the headline is white. I'am not able to fix this...what did I wrong? I checked again my Theme, it's right! :(

Have you set up the triggers, and double checked everything? Otherwise you may have a plugin conflict - you can test it on pages by deactivating plugins to see if you still have the same problem.
