Great tutorial. Is there a way to automatically assign a MailChimp tag within the signup form code? Also, can the MailChimp success message text be changed? Thanks!

Probably too late, but if you don't already have an answer Heather, in Mailchimp if you go to Audience -> Signup Forms -> Embedded Form, you will see at the bottom of the left sidebar , an option for "Tags". You can use this to add an existing tag (a list of existing tags will show up if you click in the box) or create a new tag.

When I inserted the Mailchimp code, I found that the validation (email, names, etc) was not appearing and that when I selected subscribed, I was redirected to a specific Mailchimp signup page. Any suggestions on how to make the validation and subscription work within the page like shown in the video?

I was able to resolve this issue by adding "" to the src of the script. Previously it was just listed as: src="s3.amazonaws.com/downloads.mailchimp.com/js/mc-validate.js" Working solution:

In the form you got some tags such as "target" which it has the value "_blank". Try deleting that one. And also taking out in the same form tag the word "novalidate" that is at the end of the form.
