Create a Virtual Machine in VMware Workstation Pro

In this video tutorial, I demonstrate how to create a new virtual machine in VMware Workstation Pro. I show how to create and configure the settings for the vm hardware and also how to install the operating system using an ISO image file.
Today, more so than ever, it is crucial that students learn about the importance of computer virtualization. This is why NDG teamed up with the VMware to create an introductory course on virtualization for beginners. As a video content creator I was asked to create a series of videos to go along with the course. Hi Dan! Thank you for your video. However I have a few Qs regarding "Specify Disk Capacity". What is the difference between the option "Store virtual disk as a single file" and "split virtual disk into multiple files", and if I want to run virtual machines from a SSD, which of the options is better? hi , i am running windows 7 , but i have hardware ( thermal disc printers ) that need running from windows xp ,, can i use a virtual machine on my windows 7 to create xp os to run my thermal printers ???? i was just going to install a dual os on each of my partitions , but if this will work my hardware from a virtual xp os then jobs a good en ??? anyone know , or does anyone know what i mean ,, cheers

You need to go in your computer BIOS under the processor tab then find virtualization technology(VT). Enable everything and reboot.

I have question plzzz help if u know. I am using VMware workstation 15,5 . I created on my PC new virtual Machine with windows 10 on it . everything works perfect. But I want to activate in Guest Isolation- Share Sensor Input-- Orientation . Motion . Ambient Light, those 3 fields Orientation . Motion . Ambient Light , from VM>Settings>options . Every time I check those boxes and pres ok to save changes , the changes would not be saved and boxes stay unchecked . why 2 cpus instead of 1? will it increase performance on my windows 7? edit, im running amd ryzen 7 2700x, 8 cores 16 threads with 64gb ram 2400mhz and planning to have 11 windows 7 vms, should i assign 2 cpus to each one instead of 1 as shown in your video? each one is running with 5gb ram currently.

To my understanding, You are running Ubuntu as a VM. I wouldn't think this would have an impact on Windows but I could be wrong.
