Nice tutorial. When I started my upholstery journey in 1986, i used cardboard boxes and duct tape as it was cheap. Chip board and painters tape is much easier to use and even though its increased in price, its worth is.

Same here, it's nice when we develop our skills over time and arrive to the point where we can afford the tools to make our jobs go faster & be more profitable/save time

I prefer research alloy when the material doesn't have to be perfect, (odd shapes or scratches) If it has to be perfect I use Alro
