Currently, 4 people in our company have a Copilot license. Do all users in our company need a Copilot license to use the AI Agent in Sharepoint?
@KevinStratvertАй бұрын
Microsoft has a variety of different plan options. You either need a license, there’s a pay as you go model, or if you have at least 50 Copilot licenses, you get 10,000 queries per month for non Copilot license users. Check the description for a link to the Microsoft FAQ on the feature for more details.

Interesting addition to SharePoint, I just wonder how it behaves when some users don't have access to some of its reference documents.

Do the other users need to have any special license in order to interact with the created agent?
@KevinStratvertАй бұрын
Check with Microsoft for the latest. Here’s my current understanding of licensing options: (1) users need a Copilot license to interact with the agent. (2) Microsoft also has an option where users without Copilot get up to a combined 10,000 free queries a month if at least 50 users in your org have Copilot. (3) They also have pay as you go options available.

I do not see the "create agent" Option... Do you need to have a Copilot Studio Subscription or how do you get this running? I do have the paid Copilot license...

They just started rolling out the feature yesterday, so it may take some time before it lights up in your tenant.

I know this comment is tongue-in-cheek, but if your job consists of nothing but answering questions that are already recorded in documents... maybe you do need to be replaced. Presumably, a tool like this is to free us up for the fun work.

"Every SharePoint site now comes with a pre-made Copilot that's scoped to all of the content stored." FALSE. Only if the tenant in which one works is paying for Copilot. For many of us, might as well stop watching right there--probably most employers are NOT paying for Copilot in their tenant.

But what about folders that have restricted permissions? Will it leak that information to someone that doesn't have access to it if they simply ask?
@KevinStratvertАй бұрын
No. If someone without permissions asks a question and the agent uses information they don’t have access to, the creator of the agent will need to grant permission first.

I don't see this option on my sharepoint sites. Microsoft's habit of using the same name for multiple things is probably the issue here. I'm assuming this only works if your organization has purchased a copilot license for you.

A chatbot is not an agent. Can it manipulate files in sharepoint? Are user data or inputs confidential? Your videos are way too cookie cutter.
@KevinStratvertАй бұрын
You can continue refining the agent in Copilot Studio, which gives you more power (eg if you want to manipulate files, interact with other systems, etc). The agent interactions adhere to security permissions configured in SharePoint. For example, if someone doesn’t have access to a file and the agent’s response leverages the file, the owner will need to first grant access before the requestor can see the agent’s response. Hope that helps.
