The issue is u have the consoles heat exhaust pointed at the tv, increasing the internal temp of the tv, shortening its life span. Also the heat from the tv is being pulled into the consoles cool air intakes. Idk if u ever put ur hand behind ur ps5 while playing a demanding game but it exhausts craaaazy heat thats not good for ur tv's internals.

it’s not required to put it directly behind the tv. just put it far enough away so it’s not an issue. yes you may have some visible wires but there’s stuff you can get to cover those. or you could even put it under the tv if you have room

Hey hide it, can your mounts be secured to masonry? Id like to mount above my fireplace. Its an uneven surface. I know how to appropriately mount things to masonry however im not sure if it would effect your product in any way.

The PS5 should not be mounted vertical. This ruins the disc drive prematurely due to liquid grease used. It should always be layed down for optimal disc performance for the life of PS5.

Hi there! There’s been a 30 million units sold, if this was a true problem there would be way more reports- right now all reports out are other new sources sharing the France Repair Shop! The console was designed to go Vertical and Horizontal! Unfortunately this was picked up by the media and caused unnecessary paranoia! 😢 As long as your handle your console with care your PS5 will be okay, the liquid metal leaks when there's actual damage done to the console and it will still leak even laying horizontal it will just be at a slower rate! This issue has been around since the beginning of consoles, we can assure you that your console is totally safe! 💚HIDEit Mounts

@HIDEitMounts this is from a report from a PS5 repair person who has been repairing PS5s full time since 2021. "What’s actually happening is over time, particularly on heavily performance demanding games, the liquid metal slides to the edges of the APU causing it to not cool properly, similar to thermal paste. Yes, it’s true that standing the PS5 up vertically will result in liquid metal sliding away faster. Yes, it will overheat because of this. But the LM is not leaking into components." "Most launch ps5s are getting to the point that they could use a re-spreading of liquid metal in order to cool properly. So if you’re taking a PS5 down to the board, might as well respread the liquid metal while you’re in there. Its just a given due to Sony’s design that most PS5s will need a re-spread every few years.."

@HIDEitMounts PS5 owners will have to maintain the liquid metal at a way higher rate than if it was horizontal. So if you can do your own repairs, great, but if not, your PS5 will be in the shop more often and you will be paying for repair more often. Good luck to all
