Wild Man, you are an amazing mechanical engineer. And that is certainly healthy round belly on that rat! (looks like a piglet's) ...I have wondered if there are moles where you live? If you could design an efficient and effective trap for them it might get 50 million views. Nobody here in the North America eats them. But everybody who gets finds them living in their yard hates them (I sure do!) The iron traps sold in hardware stores are expensive, and not very efficient.
