That would actually be way harder as a knife is one solid peice of metal and a chain is a bunch of precise peices engineered and bolted together.... you'd be better of just leaving it as a chain in the first place and not making a knife and then making that knife back into a chain.

_Such craftsmanship._ This is why great swords were so expensive, back in the day, and received such honour. I know the metal of samurai swords was folded multiple times which made them so much stronger. When the Japanese surrendered to the U.S. on USS Missouri ending WW2, and the officers handed in their swords, many of those weapons were hundreds of years old. _That's_ workmanship. Marvellous!
