Appreciate the demos and explanations. All artists paint many different subjects during their years of practice. A master watercolorist such as Don can always share their wealth of skills even when the subject is a gorgeous sky. I truly appreciate seeing highly talented and well-known artists on KZbin! Thank you!

Don, Another brilliant lesson! This one taught me to open my mind when I conceive how I paint landscapes. This is truly a lesson in creativity and how conceiving skies differently (or any other landscape feature) can lead to brilliant compositions! Such a pleasure to watch you paint, Don!

This is beautiful. I really like the contrast of the more pronounced foreground with that blurred and soft sky. I’m no art critic, so I can’t really articulate in the fancy artsy words why this is so nice to look at - only that it is, and I keep finding something new to appreciate about it. Thank you for sharing!

This is a wonderful video, thank you so much for sharing it! I feel excited and inspired to paint and try this out first thing tomorrow. I really appreciate your technique of charging colour into colour wet in wet, in this sky as well as in your video about granulation, which is the most stunning thing I have ever seen. So if you’re looking for inspiration as to what to share with us then I’d be over the moon for more content on this, but I’ll be honest and say I’ll probably watch any video you post. ☺️

Hi Don, I would love to see class of misty paintings of landscapes or cityscapes but the Misty part is kind of a key here. I am having so much trouble making fog or making it look foggy.

Hi again JJE,,,I have a video on my website titled "BEAUTIFUL NEUTRALS "that Is a scene of a North Carolina early morning stream and mountains with lots of fog, you can watch the trailer. But I will do a few more foggy scenes down the road,,,, it's a fun concept for a painting! Friend Don

Don, it is a pleasure to see you back on KZbin. I am not a professional artist, but a perpetual watercolor enthusiast who has an unshakable affinity to your style of painting. HAVING WATCHED YOUR DEMOS OVER THE YEARS, 2 impressions of your style that are forever etched on my mind are (1) incomparable Human Figure Painter (2) Use of Granulation as a genuine delivery process for your art. Don, what you have just done in the above tutorial "Painting Skyscapes" is within the realm of other, lesser artists on KZbin! You are a legend DON, and you need to return to your divine niche, Figure painting and Granulation in Watercolor both of which made you the legend that you are. You are untouchable in your niche, so why, why operate in the realm of other much lesser artists?

Hi Mekky,,,,, thank you so much for your input, yours are clear suggestions that Martha and I appreciate! We are in the process of putting the 13 or 14 zoom classes we have produced in the past year or so ( edited down to about 20 minutes) on utube. This skyscape video was our first one so it's a bit rough,,,,, the GRANULATION videos etc are coming soon ! We hope to also record some figure classes in the coming year and they'll be offered on utube also,,,,we'll get there,,,, we do appreciate your comments and suggestions! Friend Don

@@DonAndrewsAWS Thank you Don, you are the man and the legend; whatever you serve up is good to me so long as you maintain a presence on KZbin. Watercolor enthusiasts on KZbin need to learn and appreciate your watercolor genius as I do. Thanks again.

Disagree with Meekly's comment. The comment seems to contradict itself. In one hand they say they're glad to see Don on KZbin. In the other hand, they say "why operate in the realm of other much lesser artists?" (which based on how they wrote the comment appears that they're saying KZbin is the realm of lesser artists). Totally confusing man. Very out-of-touch comment considering KZbin is the place to be for Artists who are A) good at teaching like Don, and B) wish to enhance their followings. I'm thankful to Don for the free information and sharing of experience. I fear we are heading toward a world where information will be compartmentalized and safeguarded unless someone pays for it. We will pay for all pieces of information, not just information from experts for special classes. Enjoy these days while you can. Thank you, Don.

@majrminar: Your negative view of my comment to Don's work exposes your lack of understanding of who Don Andrews really is. KZbin is a great platform catering to the need of viewers at all levels of watercolor instruction, and also artist demonstrators at different levels of instructional ability. Don Andrews is a legend in the art of watercolor, and I am thrilled to see him bring his magic to KZbin. In doing so, I was disappointed to see him involved in a basic watercolor instruction video (above) which many lesser artists (in my humble opinion) have already delved into extensively. In general, you would not expect another legend like Joseph Zbukvic to come on KZbin to teach basic watercolor techniques, or do you? Don Andrews is my watercolor hero, my comment tried to encourage him to delve into the advanced watercolor niche that made him famous. Please read Don's inspiring response to my comment and you will learn why your negative response to my comment is lacking credibility.

@@majrminer Thank you so much for a well written response Don Andrews should pay attention to your remark that great artists should not dwell on money as the only incentive to spread their knowledge to other lesser gifted artists; I am with you on that 100%. Where you completely missed my point is your misunderstanding of my view of KZbin as a lesser platform for artists of Don's caliber. On the contrary, Don can correct your erroneous view right here on this channel, how I have doggedly pressured him to make regular uploads on KZbin, with full presentations not geared with making money as a primary objective. An artist of his caliber owes it to the world! So please understand that my reference to lesser artists relates to the "Beginners" nature of the tutorial he uploaded, NOT to the Platform (in this case, KZbin) used In light of these clarifications please reread the comment you objected to, and have a nice day!
