When creating the AMI, what is that storage section? if we mention 10GB and gp2 when creating the image. We only be able to create an instance with 10GB gp2? or its like a default value which we can modify when creating the EC2?

After taking AMI and i created ec2 instance by using AMI in that machine service is showing dead (inactive) ...how to resolve the issue pls can you clarify my doubt
