My understanding is Printify is now doing personalization could you explain how your product will still be needed if printify is now including this with Etsy?

Great question! They do not currently use AI. So if the customer types in "Can the name be Stephen" it will put "Can the name be Stephen" on the product. HelloCustom is the only Etsy personalization automation tool that uses AI trained specifically for our industry. Because they do not use AI, you also cannot do multiple personalization types per design. For example, Name and Date. They do not have an Autofit ability. So if the name is super long, it can roll off the sides of the design or break into multiple rows. HelloCustom will dynamically make the font smaller to fit within the parameters you set. Printify also requires you to use their editor to create the personalized designs, where most sellers prefer to use Canva. This is why we developed our PDF to editable template ability, so you can continue to use Canva fully. HelloCustom is Printify's preferred partner for personalization. This is why they now promote HelloCustom in-app when creating a new product :)

@@HelloCustom Can I request a product feature? (It may already be doable but I’m new here-please enlighten me lol) It would be awesome to have the ability to have an existing photo library that is tagged and then when the customer enters the tag for the graphic, it automatically pulls it up. For example, I make birthday shirts with a more complex graphic that currently requires a new .PNG image for every age, but there are no other customizations. I have 30ish variants of the design for different ages, up to 100 eventually if someone orders for their grandma lol. I can’t figure out a way to make it easy for both the customer and myself. I can’t realistically make a listing for every age or even make a drop down with every age in one listing because there are too many variants. I want to make a listing with a custom age request box but I REALLY don’t want to have to mess with every single listing whenever I get an order in. I suppose I could drag and drop each time but full automation in this circumstance would be WONDERFUL. Is this something that is doable now or possibly planned for the future? If so let me know because it would make my workflow a whole lot easier!!

Is it possible to have a custome text element on the front side and also on the sleeve? I tried doing this but the SKUs are greyed out when adding to the same product.

Incredible update! This will certainly unlock some creativity just in time for the holidays! I'd love to understand how to do a two sided product like the mug you displayed in the video. The one with the teacher name on the front and the "from student name" on the back. Maybe you've already created a video on how to do this? Appreciate you!

Stephen, can you do a tutorial of how you would setup a multiple stacked name sleeve for a sweatshirt as in your original example and how to effectively deal with the fact that each customer will enter different quantities of names?

I'll make a video on this! I would make the name closest to the end of the sleeve Name 1 and work my way up the sleeve to Name 5 or Name 6. In the template I would remove the text inside of each text box so they are empty placeholders. This way if there is 1 name, it will go into Name 1 and Name 2 - Name 6 would be empty, looking correct. This would be the most dynamic route. Let me know if this helps!

@@HelloCustom this is perfect! I had done the Name 1 closest to the sleeve as mentioned but I didn't keep the rest of the text boxes blank, so the default names would always stay and have to be manually deleted out. This is golden. 🙏💛

Also since you mentioned the names can be with hearts in-between, as an example, how that could be gone without the names getting onto the heart graphics? The updates sound great. Hi, I am wanting to get all my personalized POD items moved into Hello Custom and the primary product I am focusing on right now is ornaments. I have an off subject question for you that I'm hoping you can help me with. I have noticed that some ornament Etsy sellers offer a 3in round porcelain ornament that comes with a gift box but for the life of me I can't find the provider for this ornament option. Since you have so much experience with ornaments in POD i'm wondering if you know which provider this is AND if I can use that provider with Hello Custom. If you can let me know either way, it would be very helpful!

Great idea! Yes, you could create a tag called: Name (add " bachelorette" after name) You may need to add a space in there, but you can play with the test template feature to get it just how you need it. For the Teacher mug example, you could create a tag called: Student Name (add "Love, " before the name) I hope this helps!
