Create G-Code Using Your CNC Machine - Stupid CNC Tricks

Today learn how you can use your CNC machine in a different way. Using a free plug-in called JCode.m3p provided by Newfangled Solution's. You can write G-code as you manually jog your machine in Mach3, learning up to 3 axis's. Also shown is a EMF Ghost meter used to detect electrical noise emitting from two separate home built CNC machines.

I have not kept up with improvements and plugins for Mach3 in years. It's nice to see it's still actively being refreshed. This plugin will be ideal for generating code for robotic parts loaders for cnc lathes.

I was looking for something like this. I have a small video camera I can mount to my spindle. With this plug-in I can jog around an object using the cross-hairs on the camera plug-in. I had been playing around with copying keys and this will really help. The keys are NOT for any nefarious purpose. Thanks.

There are some cheap cheap line tracing bots, some IR LED trickery - just need to jury rig in the motions as joystick feedback - all s/w hack maybe possible.. I'll get two to do it

Wow! Thanks for this vid. Can they adapt the program to trace a per-drawn line in black., how cool would that be - you could just stick a print of a job onto the material and have it cut it out. Like maybe use line tracing robot sensors to do the tracing.

I'm A newbee to cnc so I hope I ask this correctly. I have Mach3 with ucc100 motion controller. I would like to take a drawing and use the cnc as a plotter to put it on paper. Is there a video you have that talks you thru that process on you channel?
