If 'Fit to Plane' is greyed out, you need to switch back to the Move Tool first

Very nice. Can this be done on the iPad version 2?

Great tutorial and useful for what I'm working on. What if you wanted to set the object back to a regular 2D view? I'm tracing some Japanese kanji from a picture I saw (the reference is slightly angled) and when I done I want to set it flat again. Is this possible? Thank you again for the lesson

This is great! I enjoy your tutorials on AD--and thank you for providing instructions. The tutorials that don't include narration is extremely difficult to follow the steps, if they don't write them on the screen. And when they speed it up, even worse! So thank you for narrating your AD tutorials. One question: I have a Mac--don't have an ALT key and CMD+J does duplicate it but you have to manually move it. Am I doing something wrong?
@DesignMadeSimple3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback Debbie. On Mac the Alt key would be the Option key if I recall correctly.

I love your tutorials on Affinity Designer! Thank you for giving us step-by-step instructions and actually showing us along the way! It's very helpful. I do have a question though. When I try to replicate what you've done here, there are jagged edges as a result of all the layers below the original text. I don't see this on yours. How did you accomplish this?

No blend tool in Affinity yet, eh? Thanks for the nifty workaround, I've been searching for that 😊🙏

Not yet. It would be a welcomed addition though!

This so much easier than another tutorial where they apply lots of boolean actions to draw all the planes. One question I have here is how to add gradient to the side planes now if they all individual layers?
@DesignMadeSimple3 жыл бұрын
Just group the layers together and apply a gradient using the Fill Tool. You can apply gradients to groups of layers in AD
@christinezietsman53293 жыл бұрын
@@DesignMadeSimple oh thanks, that's actually quite easy then. Thank you

i'd rather pull it all the way down then connect the vectors, than do ctr+j. it looks sloppy zoomed in even if it's more work like that
