Straightforward, no catchy intros, no unnecessary talks. For someone with severe focus issues, I loved it!

The radius size is different between when you round ALL the corners by a single drag and when you select only SOME of the corners. Illustrator calculates the center of the radius circle based on the full size of the shape covered by the corners selected. I don't know how to adjust this setting. Edit: I found the possible reason: double-click the corner handle dot, then in the popped window choose from Rounding: Absolute/Relative

Most of us pro designers are making this very transition and come up against these frustrations when we're used to Illustrator.I'm in the process of ditching InDesign and Illustrator in favour of Affinity Publisher and Designer. It will reduce my Adobe subscription significantly. Unfortunately I can't ditch Photoshop and Lightroom for my photography. If only Affinity had a rival to Lightroom. Anyway, well done. Affinity is more intuitive. You can learn it in a week or two and a lot of good tutors here on youtube. Illustrator is a pain in the tooth to learn, quite clumsy.

This is an older tutorial so my version of Affinity Designer 2.5 is a little different but this was a lot of fun! Thank you. I have a question. Can I use bitmaps to make text letters?

Sounds cool, but it doesn’t work. Tried everything. I know why Photoshop can never be dethroned! Never had such F***ING problems as with Affinity. Money down the drain.
