This is my first day learning the affinity tools. Thank you for this tutorial. In ten minutes you cover enough material to get started immediately, and explain things well enough to allow extrapolating in to other projects easily.

If you're aligning to baseline though, the lower text ends up INSIDE the circle if you select flip. I cannot get it to stay on the baseline no matter what path alignment I choose. Any thoughts please?

when I increase font size, or add spaces in between words words and characters start disappearing... likes there's a character or size limits. Are there setting to increase these parameters?.... thanks

Jumping in here to say you need to select with the Selection Tool (V) NOT the Type Tool - was wondering why this fix wasn't working but this is it!

Great video! Thank you! I enjoyed watching the process of how you put the letters together and learned a great deal. If you wanted to color in between the strokes, would you then need to add the capped ends to the lines to make closed shapes? How do you close the shape?
