I am loving your videos! This would be great in an activity book. As a teacher, I can think of a way to make these practice pages by making the color key with number words to match the numeral in the picture, upper and lower case letters to match for a color, a simple math problem, etc. I can see themed digital packs to sell on teacher resource pages like Teachers Pay Teachers. I'm afraid not. This technique requires vector editing software such as Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer or Inkscape. The latter is free.

Hi Paul! Love your videos and your fun energy and am a new subscriber. I actually followed along with you doing the exact same steps and it doesn't work for me. :-( I even used the exact same V-EZ image you did. I am curious if you are using the Gravit Pro version? I have been at this for way too many hours (8+) about ready to hurl my laptop against a wall and I cannot do what you did using the tools you used. Everything I have is very up to date, new computer, Windows 10, etc.. Any ideas before I give up on this whole mess? You and another KZbinr do use the exact same platforms. She uses a MAC but does explain it for Windows. Your tutorials differ in very minor ways. Any ideas? The only thing I can come up with is you are both using MAC's and/or have Gravit Pro? Thanks!

This is a great idea, takes me back to my childhood. Just starting to get into publishing, but finding that I'm getting errors on KDP when putting together a notebook. I set my page size to the correct size from your notebook video, but getting error for interior pages. Any ideas as to what's wrong?

The number varies. Many seem to be about 60 pages. Just leave one side of a page blank. Some make it solid black but my preference is to leave it blank.

Hi Paul, I have a question for you if you have the time :) When I download a full blank comic book as an example from Creative Fabrica, so say a 110 page pdf file. How do I create that type of file. I know how to create pdf`s of course but not that one singe multi page file ready for upload into affinity publisher. Thanks mate

I’m not sure affinity publisher will allow you to import a pdf file. I don’t use that software. You might have to open it in a vector editing software like affinity designer or Adobe illustrator then copy and paste the pages into affinity publisher. Not 100% but that may work.

I actually accomplished what I need in Adobe Acrobat edit text and images and the combine allows you to build a multipage file for me 120 page pdf files of custom made blank comic templates where I could take 5 pdf images and sequence them over and over to get to my 120. Hi Captain, i like Gravit Designer too, but the problem is that you cant work there with jpg pics, G.Dsigner take only svg, which is less on Vecteezy and much worst than jpg graphics.., what program do u use to work with jbg pics?

You can work with .jpg files but they don’t behave in the same way as .svg files because they are not vectors with different layers. They are just one flat file.

Affinity designer doesn’t have image trace. You’d have to use 3rd party software like vectorizer.io

I would like to create a color by numbers book and have illustrators that I would like to use outside of vexteezy, but now I am worried that when it comes time to import the image to Gravit it will be difficult to convert and work with. I don’t think you can because there is no link to contact the creator on Vecteezy. If you want to work with creators then try something like Fiverr.com.

There is no optimal amount really. Most coloring books are around 60 to 110 pages.
