Complicated question, be prepared: If i have 500mbps from my ISP, my «multi modem» can deliver 500 out on all four ethernetports. If i connect a Cat6 cable to a 8-port gigabit switch, those 7 remaining ports (1 for uplink) can also deliver 500mbps on all ports if i have 7 pcs connected, and the same if it is 4 ports or 12 ports. But the question is: If i watch a movie in 4K on one of the pcs, that requires about 40mbps. Will the rest of the 6 pcs have 440? Or does it work like they have 500 individual mbps like the four main ports on the multimodem? Like if i use a cat5E that supports 1gbps and i have to cumputers connected to a switch that is linked with a 5E, will those 2 pcs have 500 each? And if you add a third it wil be splittet to 333.33 ish? Hope this wasnt to complicated. Just wanna know how the speed i am subscribing on is working when i have multiple devises connected on ethernet.
