Wonderful tutorial, thank you. Can you use acrylic paint to ‘stick on’ papers? I thought you had to use gel medium.
@lynettemelnykАй бұрын
Hi Susie, thank you for your compliment and question. I have used gel medium, acrylic paint, glue stick and liquid glue to stick on papers. Sometimes when I am in the creative flow, and if my gel medium is not readily available, then I use the paint in my palette. If I don't want the chance of paint to show along the edges of a new layer, then gel medium for sure. I experiment and see what else works because as artists we don't always have to follow the rules ;) I hope that helps.

Just wanted to add, I also will use paint to "stick" paper together. I tend to then go back and rip off of the paper, when it's dry, which creates a lovely texture.... like peeling paint.

@@creativebeanart Thank you for sharing your technique with us! That recently happened to me, but I didn't want it to stick. I left the paper on too long and half of the paper stayed on the painting, but, like you, I loved the texture. Great things come from the unexpected. 💃🙌🎨
