I definitely think you should add a mod called "Extended Flywheels" it makes the Flywheels on a train move and make it look like they're actual wheels instead of being stationary

The mod is called Create Mod and I am not a creator of this mod, I'm simply a person who makes content with it 3. Yes, there are many servers you can play, Create-O-Holics is the one I'm currently on (link in descrption) 4. You can make both vintage and modern it only depends on how you design and build it

I recommend you build one in creative, save it as a schematic and later in survival load the schematic in schematic cannon. Then you either have a cannon build it for you, or you put a clipboard in a cannon and print out a material list.
