First off I want to express how helpful this was and I love your work/tutorials. I graduated three plus years ago and this was great for refreshing on my adobe skills. This specific tutorial has helped me refine my knowledge. The only problem I have run into is the rendering. When I render, it doesn't seem to matter what fps I'm rendering at it all comes out the same, extremely fast. I chose to work in the composition at 60 fps and am using Encoder to render. No matter what settings I change based off of tutorials I am following on rendering, it ends in the same result. Is there anything you can tell me or help to guide me in slowing down my rendered video?

Hiya, sorry, this will be the first time I'm jumping into After Effects after creating these, so I just want to make sure - what format should the icons be exported as? Should they be on different artboards, etc?

Seperate artboards is fine, making sure your artwork is seperated into different layers will help too. But you'll see in the next episode we recreate them from a .png anyway. Just try chucking your .ai file in After Effects and seeing what happens!

me too can someone who knows how to copy one send backwards. when i want to move it it appears another circle on surface and green part doesnt go back plus in the video there are no stroke so i tried to do no stroke in copy one but then it deletes circle an other stuff as well. can someone help me?

Thank you for this video!! Love it. I only ran into one issue: when I copy and paste the ellipse (sun) to create the shadow, it doesn't let me bring it behind the first circle. However, if I drag the sun (filled shape) around, it goes behind the mountains and clouds, but it doesn't go behind the ellipse. Can you help me??

You're making it look too easy. I thought that you need drawing input device to to create stuff in Ai? You are doing this with your mouse and keyboard.

Galactic Vixen Yep, all mouse and keyboard. You'll want a graphics tablet if you're doing freehand stuff, but for most projects. Mouse and keyboard is fine.
