These videos are great. Most other tutorial content on AutoCAD is by people who really don't know it that well, and as a result I miss out on all the speed tricks you really need to be efficient. I know this video series is a little old, but almost 100% of the changes to AutoCAD over the years are superficial, so the content is still completely relevant. Thank you for the work you out into this, and further for making it publicly available.

Lynn expand on the recommendation regarding NOT placing vport on defpoints

Sometimes I freeze the defpoints layer, and it would be annoying to not see the viewport perimeter. Sure, I could just unfreaze defpoints, and life would be good again, but there really is no reason to not create a special layer for viewports. I name mine Z_VIEWPORT. I put a Z_ in front of all the layers I use in paper space, like the layer I draw the title block from is called Z_TB. The Z sends all those less used layers to the bottom of the layers list so they don't get in the way when I'm working.
