Give the wire a little tug like you're trying to stretch it. That slight stretch/tug will make it nice and straight.

The very top loop of the pendant where you wrapped all the extra wire around where you attach it to a necklace is called the veil didn't know if you knew I didn't know till I got hooked on watching back to eath creations channel and she has a business doing wire wrapped jewelry it's a very good Channel to watch steve if you want to learn some more wire wrapping techniques she has alot a tutorials going back like 5 or more years and they are very descriptive. Just thought it might help love your videos been watching them like crazy

Actually, depending on how you like it, the part where the cord or chain carries the pendant is called a bail or bale. I've seen both spellings. You can choose your preference.
