I found your video after testing out mine and seeing that there was a 30 minute delay. That's the real killer for this. Just going to stick with zigbee motion and contact sensors for now.

the fact you can't adjust the delay make the sensor practically useless!

@triplem6363 Do you mean the Echo Dot 5? The Echo 4 is still the latest full featured Echo... don't really want to go with a lower speaker for the ability to use the motion sensing in it... seems like at that point just add another motion sensor with zigbee would be cheaper...

Agreed! 30min is WAY TOO long! Amazon needs to add a selection for this to select 1min and add in minute increments before this routine resets. This feature as it is is worthless! I'm sticking to my Zig-bee motion sensors!

I'm using Gen 5 and I find that the Bond detection works, but the off detection is very inconsistent. Like I will come in the room the lights come on and then leave the room and then hours later the lights are still on, unless it decides to work in which case it might turn the lights off and announce it to me twice in the same period of time. As I have text notifications whenever my routine fires. There are sensitivity settings, but so far I haven't been able to figure out what these do, and that's why I'm looking for videos honestly. The solution to your problem is simple, just try never turning the light off manually😅, but seriously they just need to add more conditions to routines that let you put in a check for if your lights are off

but there is a option to set duration for how long alexa will wait before running the routine again... can you find out and update me on what that means.

Saw it too... But it still doesn't work 😕 It worked 1 time, and cannot find anyway to make it work again... Even if i selected "01 minute" duration before the routine should run again 😢

That's a deal breaker for sure... not to mention keeping the lights on for 30 minutes after no motion is detected - that's a long time, especially if you have to walk through multiple rooms to get to the bathroom. You basically just turned on every light in the house for at least 30 minutes, just to go pee. I'm probably going to go with Phillips hue motion detectors and hub, so I can set the duration the lights stay on and still control them with Alexa.
