Hey Kevin, Merry Christmas! Most of what you shown in the video, I had no idea you could even do that! You did solve a problem for me, presenting the Temple of the Frog. That castle sample gave me ideas. A picture of the Temple in scale and shaded green, would say it all. WotC had a livestream, a few days ago. They announced that the next edition would be completely compatible with 5e. I think Kevin they are just going to fix mistakes and update certain things to better fit the current game. I see it as one giant bug fix rather than a new edition. Thanks Kevin you have a wonderful day!

Glad I could help Matt. And it's good to hear the Wizards isn't coming out with a whole new system. Of course, we still have to buy the books to use the bug fix, but having to throw out stuff or work to update it is a pain.

Hi Kevin, Thanks for your instructive video. For removing the background I use another technique. I copy the whole image, create a new image of the same size with a transparant background. Then I erase the areas I want to erase with the bucket fill tool, using the erase mode. This works both in Photoshop and Gimp.

Just came here to say: Using custom_colors, white is not actually the color you want for colorable items (at least, with the newest version), unless you want a mix of the colors you pick. From left to right, the custom colors represent Red Green Blue in the image itself. Black in newer versions seems to not show, as it is 0% R G or B. Using custom_colors_2 however, black and white show on their own, but the RGB relation is retained for other colors. However, it only picks the highest value, and does not blend between them, which can cause some high-contrast artefacts on blurrier symbols.

Great advice. Thanks!

@@DDHomebrew Thank you! I just didn't see anywhere that explained what colors you are supposed to use for the custom_colors draw modes, and was experimenting around. Thank you again.

For GIMP, you can select the colour menu at the toolbar and pick the colour to alpha option. From there you can just select the colour you want and it will be removed

Eu não comprei na Humble, tem outra maneira de conseguir o "example"?🙏
@DDHomebrew3 ай бұрын
You can create an example directory in the asset sub-directory "symbols" yourself.

How do you get it so that you can use custom colors without painting them on the landscape?
@DDHomebrew2 ай бұрын
You can control what gets colored by going to the filter tab on the right side and choosing those items you want painted.
@williamweidner54252 ай бұрын
@@DDHomebrew but I don’t want to just filter what gets colored. There are some symbols that allow you to choose colors they are posted with from the pallet on the left hand column. I want to be able to do THAT with the symbols I create
@DDHomebrew2 ай бұрын
@@williamweidner5425 I'm not sure it's possible. Did you see the options that are available in the text file I created for the various symbols?
