Nice thing is that it prevents you from making unrealistic people so it ends up feeling more powerful.
@VixenDra3 жыл бұрын
At this point it brings it way too far since I couldn't recreate traits of real existent people, forget my character:P Making it the opposite of powerful at its current beta state^^ Needs a lot of extra control-related upgrades, that's for sure. Generally I'd rather have a toggle that would let me go unrealistic if necessary if that's what it rakes to recreate the face I need:P I'd use it then. Anything to get the job done. Right now I can't go even 50% similar (said character's face is like 90-95% a blend of 2 real people and only a few % made-up to spice up the design and he's still a human in the end, I should be able to reach at least that 2 existent people blend level of similarity if realistic was the only limit, I got much closer results with Black Desert Online, just toonier) Can't wait for updates!

1:48:46 one of the problems with making a person is people dont take into consideration HOW a human grows. One of the more interesting and less notisable things with humans and most creatures, is how asymetrical everything is, and that is all to do with gravity and your heart, the side your heart is on grows slightly larger to the other side, this causes things like height and distance from everything to be varied when compaired to the otherside of your body. So Eye height for example, is never perfect or the same. Ears nose eyes and forehead micro differences can make so much of a difference especially when we view our selves.

So Clint, now that I had a few days playing around with MetaHuman Creator, I get your thumbnail. I didn't get a chance to finish this whole video but I watched a good deal of it and I can totally understand your pain brother. I was trying to challenge myself by creating celebrities' from the presets, I tried Angelina Jolie as well as the lady who plays the female T-2000, I felt like I couldn't quite get the sculpts to where I wanted them, but I noticed it's like flying a drone, the smaller my movements I started see how little you have to move it to get it right, it's still felt a little limited but trust me, smaller movements in the right directions make all the difference.

@Jack_Wolfe3 жыл бұрын
1:43:33 not sure if you figured it out, but the beard isnt the chin in the metahuman, beards stand off the skin to a degree, you were probally better off working with a bearless picture of your self then woprking with the beards they have.
@Goddess_Moros3 жыл бұрын
I think you went about some of this backwards. Align the center of your head and neck and bring eyes-nose-mouth to the right place after getting the overall shape. Nonetheless, excellent stream! Super informative and I look for to catching one in the future!
@neon-kitty3 жыл бұрын
You don't need to pick a base character who matches your desired ethnicity, gender, age or skin colour, actually. The best way to try and recreate specific faces is to go by overall face shape. I.e. if you want to create someone who has a very narrow face, it's best to just find a base character who also has a very narrow face regardless of whether they otherwise look like what you're trying to create. And then you can swap out the skin material/skin colour and use the blend tool to try and get the facial features you need. But yeah, trying to recreate specific people/characters in Metahuman is currently very tricky and unintuitive.

yes but for now Metahuman doesn't have the tools yet (they are way too limited, not enough control is possible), e.g. I can't get even a 50% likeness level for my character for now while I could recreate him in Black Desert online like 95-97% accurate (I'm only missing some fine sculpting to make a more angular nostril area and such details +ofc the expressions are a nope there, that's why I got hyped for Metahuman +the hyperrealism as opposed to the BDO's semi-realistic which still worked quite well) after drawing him many times before in more or less realistic styles...

Clint, you should try that thing where you cut a pic of your face in half, and then see what two faces you come up with when you mirror them. I think I explained that wrong, but basically yo take one of the halves, mirror it so you have two of that half and put them together to make a new face, do it with the other side, then compare the two faces, and most the time you end up with two completely different looking faces, unless your face is perfectly symmetrical. its nice to see the have asymmetry though, thats a rare feature in any facial creation software in games especially. but man, good job. this thing looks so good. I'm real gutted i can't afford a decent rig man. i highly doubt my lenovo ideapad 305 would run this. lol.
