Love the work! What I like about the 90s Warhammer painting style (and the sculpts as well, for that matter), is that it has a sense of humour, it has some sillyness to it, yet it takes "being a bit silly" very serious. 🙂

Awesome job dude, the flag design is very similar to the sign outside of The Skirrid Inn which is the oldest (and most haunted) pub in Wales, UK, at nearly 900 years old. Can confirm it's haunted, pretty sure I saw a ghost when I was enjoying my pint there. Great video as always.

Interesting idea about the can, never seen that before. That aluminium would take a really good primer to stick though. I prefer the paper considering non artists can just photocopy and fill in existing banner ideas and a good varnish should make them pretty indestructible and still possible if you use a heat gun to almost melt. Or sprue goo now, need to test batches with glass panels to get the surface right.
@anvilofdoomminiatures Жыл бұрын
I used a couple coats of White Scar and had no issues with it coming off. If you make sure the surface is thoroughly clean you should have no issues 👍 Yeah I can definitely see how paper banners are much easier and accessible for everyone. Good luck with your testing mate!

Great work. HOWEVER, if you are going with flat colors (e.g. not John Blanche's Mona Lisa banner), wouldn't it be easier to just hash it out on the computer and then print it on a color printer? I just feel that all that fine detail work is going to waste. Kinda like painting your house with a #1 brush. You CAN do it. And it IS impressive. But that time could have gone into something else.
@anvilofdoomminiatures Жыл бұрын
Thanks dude! I suppose this is just another way of making a banner. Something a little more durable and different. Plus it’s fun to make and I want to try push myself where I can 😊
