New Figma update makes it easier to create such components, I recommend recreating this video again with the new variant propertys

If you want focus states you can just click on the text field to change the state. You don’t need to create states for the form groups, form groups are just layout purposes. You can if you want to but I don’t do it.

I'm confused by something. Why go through all the trouble of making the Form Group component when the _base-form-group component does all the same stuff? Having completed this process it feels like I did the same thing twice in a more complicated way. I must be misunderstanding something.

We don't use base components anymore.
