Hello, my name is Shelby and I am a potter based in Victoria, Australia.
In this vlog, I am taking you through my second week of prepping for two huge events. I also do a little dried flower wall, paint some gorgeous mushrooms, finish some glazed frogs from the previous weeks vlog and have kiln issues.
Here is the link to the lovely Nice Digs to get you hands on one of their cutie dog beds:
www.nicedigs.com.au
These ones will be released on the 21st of May 2023.
Links to the events I am doing:
Craft Lab 2023 Ballarat - May 20-28th: www.creativeballarat.com.au/c...
Finders Keepers AW2023 - July 7-9th Melbourne: www.thefinderskeepers.com/mel...
Throughout this video I take you behind the scenes of all parts of the process with lots of Timelapse's. The Timelapse's make it a little easier to keep focused on the work at hand whilst being able to show you what I am up too.
I hope you like these videos as a little something different whilst I prepare and I will have my regular goodness back soon once I get through some of this work!

Me too! I'm a soapmaker, so I remember the days of mixing up salt scrubs for vendors in multiples of 11 because my pot and ability to mix all the ingredients was limited by physical limits. Same with making my goat milk soaps. I only had so much space to let the batches dry.

Loved seeing the puppies. :-) And I LOVE the golden wattle designs -- I love red and fire colors, so they really appeal. I think your stuff's going to sell like hotcakes -- you're going to be very happy afterwards!

This really shows all the work that goes into being a professional artist. As I've been getting more and more into my painting, people have asked why I don't try to go into business selling them, and this is kind of why I'm okay with being a hobbyist, because I really admire all the work you do to keep your business going.

The craggly frog skin looks so wonderful! It suits them to a T. Cute little piggies! I'm very excited to see what all the glazes do. The mushmugs are so sweet. The soft pastels look sooooooo good. The parts guy forgot the parts... he had ONE JOB. Ugh! Oh! The golden flowers are so pretty. I love how they drape. Surprise dogs never ruin a shot. UwU Watching the bed re-inflate was very cool. I hope your puppers enjoy their new bed. Oh, the doggy didn't want to get up. He loves it! TuT The boquets are so pretty! Maybe have a little one to display in a vase. You got so much done this week! A little question, what happens to the pieces that crack? You mentioned the mugs, as someone who likes to garden, having quirky pots for smaller house plants is fun. Maybe having your SO drill out a drainage hole or even cut drainage holes after pouring would be another aspect that could be of use. I really think the cow jugs and flora/fauna mugs would be able to do double duty in this manner. Even the cup that you thought of having a too small a handle. Just an idea…. Good luck in your future, and I’ll keep watching and hoping to get a piece of your beautiful artwork.

Omg look at those frogs!! Please sleep the name of the glaze you used please. Is it Ritchel? You will LOVE LOVE LOVE having a bigger kiln. I don’t know how long your little one takes to fire but the bigger one will obviously take longer but the difference isn’t as mush as you would think. I have a pretty large kiln as well as a small kiln. The small kiln is about 1/3 the size of the big one and it only fires 3 hours less for a tiny amount of pieces!!! One more question. What is waddle? Is it the flower on the dishes? It looks soooo beautiful!!! And the flowers!! Wow!!
