Elca's said it's not completely open world since there is a clear linear path but the player is free to return and explore places they've been before to access additional areas closed off to them previously.

I'd compare it to the likes of Mario 64 in how the worlds work, only the progression between worlds is far more linear. So not what I'd describe as "open world" necessarily but more of as "open levels", ie the levels are open and small, but the world is not

@@saika1449 he hasn't put out a release date because he doesnt want to be pressured to finish before it's ready (*cough* Cyberpunk *cough*). Based on his current rate, I'd guess he's probably 3-4 years from finishing. He's still on book 1 and only has up til Kyoshi island "finished". In his latest stream, he revealed his team has blocked out Omashu but it's far from being done.

Great work, love it! Hope the actual gameplay elements will be on paar with your modeling/sculpting skills. Sometimes developers change areas and surroundings in order to fit the gameplay. With the avatar world already given and the map being a 1-1 copy of the actual show (which is great), it will be interesting to see how the gameplay turns out in the end.

@@tropicalvikingcreations I know what you mean, but the things you mentioned are just gameplay elements, not the gameplay itself. Having for example puzzles in a game, does not mean that the game is a good puzzle game. Dont get me wrong, I love 4 seasons! But there is a reason why some games might be esthatically pleasing, but turn out to be quite boring. On the other hand, some games might not have the same level of detail as others, but are a blast when played. That being said, I look forward to 4 seasons and hope, that the same effort is put into the game when it comes to actual gameplay, flow and mechanics. Game makers toolkit has some great analysis when it comes to these things.

This game is gonna be great. I just keep imagining an avatar fighting style game that gets really creative into bending mechanics and gives a lot of freedom to the player. The coolest part about bending is the fact that you can bend anything anywhere.

There’s an old plugin for servers that gives you bending powers, some servers use it and some might have have like some cities built as stand ins for the nations capitals. There’s also a mod for somewhat newer versions of Minecraft
