This is such a strong example of a file manager in Notion! Sticking to affinity groups over hyper-specific tags - check Using filtered views - check Keeping it MECE (or not) - check

never been a fan of tags for that reason! Thanks!

Any chance you could show beginners like me the ABC's of creating what you have on the screen? I get how you tagged them, but how did you create the block on the right hand side?

Yes - same question: How did you create the block on the right side? Is it some kind of a link to a filtered view?

Josh, when you talk about files in Notion, are you saying the Word and Excel files are actually in Notion? Or are the files in the Windows file system?
@JoshRedd8 ай бұрын
I mean Notion docs! A lot of people call them "Files" or "Notes" or whatever else makes sense to them. You CAN attach word or excel (or other) files to a database item using the Files and Media property - or you could embed the file directly onto a page.

Have you created "File Finder" database in an automated way, or one by one? Cheers!
@JoshRedd6 ай бұрын
The database is just created in Notion with the specific "tags" for each type. Then the "File Finder" is a layer on top of it to make it feel more app-like.
