Such a stunning piece. I have always had a fondness for Tigers eye. So when I read it was for sale I went straight to the website. Unfortunately that's out of my price range at the moment. But I hope someone buys it soon. Such an awesome looking die.

I'm not sure why this video ended up on my feed...But I'll have to say...I was mesmerized. I'm 48...and I've never been into D&D but for some reason this video roped me in. I'm a CNC machinist by trade....so precision is my job...and you nailed it. I was thoroughly entertained. Great job...I cant wait for your next upload.

LMFAO WOW, $500 for a d20 WTF... A fool and his money will soon part if they buy one of those 😂... It's a $20 piece of tigers eye and right now you can buy a faceting machine for $300 and make a BUNCH of them for $500 and have a machine to make other jewelry with... So save yourselves some money and buy your own machine and make your own... And sell them to suckers living in Mom and Dad's basement.

@@MrJackson66 I was surprised at the price of the dice but she has every right to charge what she wants to charge. The time and other supplies put in im sure add extra cost. It's not something ill ever purchase but im sure there are people with the money who would

Great work! It turned out beautifully, and I've no doubt that the chatoyance looks even better in person. I didn't realize that cat's eye was a quartz pseudomorph of crocidolite, but that makes sense since asbestos minerals are very soft and flaky. Can't wait to see what's next!!
@SageAndNettle5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! Oh man, it's so beautiful in person! Pseudomorphism it's a super cool process for sure. You can actually find Tiger's Eye that retains more of the blue/gray from the crocidolite (called Hawk's Eye or Eagle's Eye) that is just as beautiful. Hopefully one day I can get my hands on a piece! 😊

@@SageAndNettle I've seen tiger's eye in red, blue, and gold, not to mention the specimens from Australia that have bands of iron throughout (tiger's iron, and yes, it is ferromagnetic!). Nice tat, btw!
@SageAndNettle5 ай бұрын
@@AarynGulledge Oh woah I didn't know about tiger's iron! That's way cool! I saw some red tiger's eye but from my reading, it's just regular tiger's eye that's been heat treated, and the darker red coloration is only surface level, so It wouldn't last through cutting. And thank you! Lord of the Rings holds such and incredibly important place in my heart. 😊

Feel like a white or pastel colour would've complimented the stone's colour a bit more but this piece is absolutely beautiful, its one of your best
@SageAndNettle5 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! ❤ I went with white on the Desert Jasper D20 and got a bunch of comments that Gold would have been better for a brown die, haha 😅 White or pastel would have definitely contrasted more, but I do like the extra glittery gold effect! I think it makes it look even more like treasure 😊

This piece turned out very nice. I didn't have "asbestos in a rock" on my bingo card for today, so that's very interesting. Also, good for you to take the proper measures to protect yourself, that stuff can be really nasty with excessive exposure. I had an idea that the different facets having different amounts of light reflecting back could show depth of character, and could potentially be some sort of cleric as shining gold could also be a symbol for faith. But I think your idea fits a little better with this particular stone
@SageAndNettle5 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! Yeah, it was definitely interesting to learn about for sure! Protection is definitely important, even with non-asbestos stones, haha. I actually really like that idea! Taking that and building it into light cleric worshiper of the sun is a super cool character idea! Definitely stealing this for an NPC for one of my campaigns. 😊

Make a matching set of all the plutonic solids
@SageAndNettle5 ай бұрын
I have in the past! However, making a full set comes with a whole new suite of challenges that make the process difficult and time consuming. The first major hurdle is sourcing enough of the same type and style of stone to make a whole set, which can be difficult to ensure. Additionally, cutting seven dice takes seven times as long, haha! 😊 I may make more full sets in the future though! 😊

what kind of abrasive is used in the sand blasting portion?
@qwerty36635 ай бұрын
Do you always start with polished spheres or do you use rough too? Do you have an equipment list (I like the sandblast cabinet)?
@SageAndNettle5 ай бұрын
I have a lot of rough too! The sphere are nice because they're already preformed, which does save a little time. Also, a lot of the more unique stones I have are purchased by my vendors already sphere shaped, so I don't really have the option of buying them as rough. I don't have an equipment list quite yet, but it's something I'm working on! 😊

I like the V´Ball shape more for this Stone. All these edges are not natural. I like to say it so: I am a nature type, so i like flowing shapes. Like Prometheus movies sayd: God dosent build in straight lines.
