@@hedronrockworksfull disclosure... Ive made fun of my brother for awhile for his d and d playing. I'm a amateur rockhound and know of turtles hoard from gemstonesdot vidoes. One of your vids you said you took up this hobby for lack of high end dice. Unfortunately I found this to be true as well. What I found was very low quality. Gem amethyst isn't expensive by any means. Yet the ones I found are made of trash rough thats sold by the pound and or stones way to soft and low quality. For high wear things like dice and let's say rings, watches, bracelets you want stones 7 mohs and higher. Preferably 7.5 and up. The reason is a lot of the general dust in the world is finely ground silica aka quartz which is 6.5 to 7 mohs. Ive got a co worker who's a nerd and is under payed and way under appreciated. A set of synthetic ruby die would be the ultimate gift. If you could find a way to make sets out of the material in the videos for under say 400 or 500 dollars I think you'd have plenty of customers. When their charging $40 to $120 for some resin die $500 for gemstone ones would be a bargain.

The star reminds me of a New Year ornament. I’m from Russia, and it’s still fairly common to put a red star on the top of the fir tree when decorating (instead of something like an angel - religion being banned for a while there in the 20th century). When the light was catching the facets and the red star glowed it reminded me of when I was a child, looking up at the decorated tree in anticipation of presents. Beautiful.

I think you probably have the blessing of Athena, the Greek goddess of the crafts (among other things) because the amount of skill and precision required for such a beautiful result is quite simply divine!

Wow. Just incredible work here! The stone you chose had such character to be unlocked and the last shot from above with all of the cutting and polishing finished and the numbers in place? The bubbles inside almost look like stars. Dude. Frick'n sweet!

So much "satisfying DIY" content out there is silent or overly focuses on quick glamour shots. I really appreciate that you show the full process, both in the shooting and in the editing. The fact that you even show the mistakes and setbacks is extremely appreciated, too 😊

What an incredible piece, and what an amazing process to behold. Its like the die was hiding in the stone and you brought it out in exactly the way it was meant to be. This is the kind of thing I wouldn't dare ever actually roll, let alone play with. This deserves to be on display. Absolutely gorgeous.

Radioactive micro dust all over the lab such a great idea… It would look cool as hell, but not worth the safety risks imo. Uranium glass is safe to handle in one piece, but you definitely don’t want to be breathing dust from it.

The precision and artistry required to cut a ruby into a D20 shape is truly remarkable. The skill displayed in achieving such perfect symmetry and facets on such a challenging material is a testament to the cutter's exceptional craftsmanship and expertise. The result is not just a beautifully cut gem but a masterpiece that reflects both the inherent beauty of the ruby and the unparalleled skill of the artisan.

The song choices are top notch. Oddly enough, it feels very Kingdom Hearts and that just gives me the butterflies. The dichroic effect/coloration being purple and red is too cool. I WISH I could get a D20 like that.

I've wanted a ruby or sapphire D20 for ages, and ever since I started watching your video, I thought about saving up to commission one. Eventually I did luck out and find a small sapphire one of okay quality, which I'm thrilled of even still.. But damn brother, you out-do yourself as a craftsman with every stone you premiere. I love the attention to detail, the design, the frosted edges are always absolutely gorgeous, and a great idea from Andrew to just frost the stars! Also the timelapse where you wore down the face was a fantastic touch too. Please never stop making youtube videos, your work is just..breathtaking.
