I looked up Cascedeur Quadruped tutorials a few months ago and there was nothing, I wasn't ready to animate yet. This tutorial couldn't have come at a better time! Thanks for this, I hope you do more in depth and detailed guides like this for more Quadrupeds!!!!

This is so funny, this is actually the same exact blender metarig I was gonna convert to cascadeur. (Different horse model though) so this is quite literally the most helpful tutorial I could have found.

Fantastic tutorial. I hope you do more quadruped tutorials or just more short tutorials like this one that show how to use the features.

Awesome tutorial! been looking for something like this! Thank you. I just have one question. Let's say you have this rigged horse and wants to add a human character riding on top of it reacting and bouncing to the physics, how could that be achieved?
@AronNemeth95 Жыл бұрын
Thank you :) That's a great question and would be interesting to try it out. My first guess would be to create a composite center of mass for the horse and the human. Then change the secondary motion for almost every point controller (except the feet probably).
@Impaczus43 Жыл бұрын
@@AronNemeth95 creating a composite center of mass for both characters is a genius idea I've never really thought about! Thank you for that response!
@AronNemeth95 Жыл бұрын
You need to select the COM of both characters and Commands> Center of mass> Create composite. I have a video about working with two characters. Might be also useful) kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZioZaOjitGAjdU

Is there a way to make auto posing work with this!?
@AronNemeth95 Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no(

So When I turn on Auto Pose, there isn't the points for me to click on. Nothing shows up and my model is just blank.
@AronNemeth959 ай бұрын
Auto posing is only available for humanoid characters which were rigged with the quick rigging tool. (At least for now.)

@jamaalsineke24057 ай бұрын
Sir do you think you could do spiders and fantasy creatures? Like a Centaur for example? Or a Dragon?
@jamaalsineke24057 ай бұрын
Sorry to bother you so much, but also could you please do a tutorial in Cascadeur 2024 for this Horse setup unless the process hasn't changed too much?
@AronNemeth957 ай бұрын
The process is still pretty much the same in the current version. I have done dragons, but since it was a project under NDA I wasn't allowed to share it, but it is definitely doable.

Do you create animations in Cascadeur just for the model your working on, or can you reuse them? Like applying an animation to another model that you import ?
@AronNemeth95 Жыл бұрын
If the models use the same armature you can apply the animation for different characters.
@nwotyzarc Жыл бұрын
@@AronNemeth95 and if they don't have the exact same armature. But a similar one (also humanoid)with same bone amount etc ?
@AronNemeth95 Жыл бұрын
@@nwotyzarc It should have the same hierarchy and bone names. Otherwise you can try retargeting the animation in another software. 😕
@nwotyzarc Жыл бұрын
@@AronNemeth95 ah okay I see. Thanks! :) And when I have a character with same rig hierachy and naming, but he has extra bones (for example some clothing bones, that needs to be animated) could I apply my previous animations to the humanoid? And adjust the clothes in key frames accordingly. Or would unassigned bones cause problems and I would need to create a new animation for him?
@AronNemeth95 Жыл бұрын
@@nwotyzarc I think it should work as long as the additional bones are at the end of the hierarchy. So you didn't add any bones between existing ones.
