Good stuff! Using next gen wizard atm searching for an answer of adding a "current build" to the lines where I'm supposed to download the build. Just can't find how to do this. Something you can sort out?

thank you! the build is there but there's nothing in it to install. Please help if you can. My build.zip is in dropbox, my plugin.zip is on the site as are the pics and the wizard.htm file. Something is missing or incorrect I'm sure...can't figure it out

Great tutorial Samwich! It was awesome enough to beat down my stupidity many times. Last issues that's getting me is this. Wizard works for Android, Pi devices but it stops midway thru in windows while extracting. Just halfway thru it prompts a force close. I close and fire up Kodi and as expected it's not installed, just errors. Thoughts?

Sam used your vids and everything works great until last part where the message comes up to close Kodi. For some reason it does not close kodi so I end up unplugging the box and plugging it back in and the new build is there. Any idea why the wizard will not close Kodi. THis is on an X92 box with Android 7.1 and Kodi 17.6. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Sam, I have followed your videos on how to create and upload your own kodi build.. When I type in my url the plugin doesnt show, when i add the plugin to the url it just goes the rough the files and doesnt install, I don't know what I have done wrong. can you help please?

Hostinger is now saying that "Hostinger File Manager can only be accessed with Premium packages." Has anyone else got this message when trying to access File Manager? How do you get around this?

Fantastic tutorials :) and thank you very much. My question to you is: If you check the new Kodi build wizards that are on you tube, the wizards has options to save your trakt settings, addons saved settings and other options like auto clean kodi before you start installing the build. Any Idea how to do that ?

Hey Sam, so i went ahead and used 000Webhost ( I had my Wiz already set up with another site, but they went down, I followed ALL your steps and i cannot seem to see my plugin when i open from Zip in KODI.. i have done this SEVERAL times, and still will not show..everything is labeled EXACTLY the same as my domain....Please help.

hi thanks for the video. .. have repeatedly tried this followed the vids step my by step... I install from zip my icon installs but when I click on it keeps coming up kodi error check logs... anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?

Will this plugin work on kodi 17/17.1 I followed all the steps and am stuck. The plugin and everything appears in my web browser when i enter the domain address, but when I try to install from zip in kodi there is nothing there from the source. Not sure if this is a kodi version issue or not ... please help I fresh started my kodi and now this is the only way to get it back.

Yes it works on both versions of Kodi. Make sure all the path files are correct and all the txt files are all the same.

This is a fantastic tutorial @SamWich -- I followed all of the steps but I'm unable to download the build.zip to a 19.4 Matrix and I'm getting the following error: "failed to install add-on from zip file - the dependency on xbmc.python version 2.25.0 could not be satisfied." I've tried to search on Google for this but no solution available. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Okay so I followed everything and I thought I was successful, but nothing installed. By nothing I mean: I was able to load the Plug-in, when I run it, it downloads my build, then extracts successfully then I get the force close message and it force closes with no issue. When I re-open Kodi, no build present, no add-ons installed... No errors, looks to run exactly like yours except on the restart of Kodi. Any thoughts on what might be the cause?

SamWich I've power cycled with same results. initially I tested on a Windows laptop and just now on a Matricom Q-box with same results. I did find on the laptop in the Kodi folder, the build was there (zipped up) but it never got extracted. manually extraction fixed the laptop but defeats the purpose of the wizard.

Problem solved... I zipped up a folder that had my build in it instead of zipping the addons & userdata folders directly so my folder was put in place but didn't over right the existing folders.

i did something wrong i followed you video all the way but when i add my source in file manager in kodi it comes up with a blank directory its there just not showing up in kodi could you please tell me what i did wrong?

Sam. I made a 16.1 build and it's worked *yippee*. I'm almost finished one for 17, now can I add it to the same place in the account ie can I have 2 wizards in there or will it stop the first from working? Do I need to rename it or something? Thanks for the great, easy to follow tutorial. To think I hadn't even heard of Kodi 6 months ago and now I have one build in use, one almost done and I'm already picking out backgrounds for a third lol obsessed or what? Not bad for a 50+ Grandma, eh?

yes you can add it in the same place. just label the new build Krypton or 17 at the end so you know its the new build, but sure you can have several builds in a wizard.

Ive followed every little step in this vid but I've use 000webhost instead of hostinger.Its all gone ok but when it comes to "install from zip" inside kodi there is nothing there.Any ideas please? its driving me mad

In webhost create a public folder called "repo" (no quotation marks) then drop your plugin in there. Make sure you use the /repo on the end of the address you type in to Kodi for your wizard, worked for me anyway...

My build only extracts about half way then goes to force close. Looks like it loads the addons but having issues with loading the skin. Any ideas?

this wizard is not compatible with kodi 18 in android because it downloads the files but does not extract them. In windows works fine with kodi 18, android only works until kodi 17.6

I managed to get my 17 build back up and running. I had to use FileZilla to get into Hostinger. Dunno if that's everyone or just me but it took me a while to figure out how to use it. Thanks again for your help, I rewatched your videos as I started from scratch and I found I was saying "done that bit already, Sam" hehe Please don't ever take these vids off as I found them very interesting and you explained things clearly for me, an old biddy. :)

Hells Bells how'd you get filezilla to work on hostinger i cant get mine to work. having same problem

I had to install it onto my pc. Then add Host, username and password to that. It then shows you what you have on Hostinger and what you have on your pc. You just have to drag a file over and it uploads it to Hostinger in seconds. It is easy to do once you know how. Just have a play about with it. :)

+JB3Builds double check your work bud. Make sure the zips are correct and all have same name

Keep all the files as they were and only edit the files I have shown you in the vid. that way you know the method is 100% correct. the wizard file and index files are seperate

I left all files that you mention in hostinger, then uploaded my build to godaddy but it errors out trying to download? Is there anything i need to change in the default.py from your default dropbox?

Indiana Mods yes make sure in default you have changed all the names to the name of your zip and that you have put you wizard link in the correct place

Fern Builds I did this and it seemed easy to use but the the build failed to work. I noticed that any url I copied all had ftp and not http. and they all looked very different from what was showing in the video. . thing I have to start all over again...
