Now that is nice and clean! Good stuff and very powerful. Thanks for the video! :-)

Awesome, thanks Geert. Good stuff! List.Generate is the hidden gem in Power Query. You can use it for a lot. And it’s not too difficult once you know it’s basics ❤

More is coming. Tot bij de volgende video?

I have yearly data i can do group by which will filter and calculate sum or any other valies i want but the thing is i want to insert that groupby for each month end .. can you do a video

Absolutely Cool. You always seem to tackle issues in a systematic way. One question. How do I change the name from "Source" in the Query to Today? When I try the Rename Step it is not available. Although it is just cosmetic would like to know.
@BIGorilla8 ай бұрын
Hey Jim, You can only do that by changing the step names in the advanced editor. Cheers Rick

One thing, when you changed the the null value? I've never really understood what a lot these do, so I tend to add the splitter.spiltbynothing() and leave it at that, yes I've read the docs, but never quite sure what it all means, eg ; optional splitter as nullable function ? Perhaps an intro to some of the language used. I've become a great fan of List.Generate thanks to your work.

Hey how we can achieve this using measure in powerbi? Can you pleas make video on this monthly date calender
@christopherregalado3029 Жыл бұрын
Hi Rick, how can I create a monthly total and have it inserted as a new row at the end of the month and have the days in the month auto grouped. For example, I have 500 days/rows of data for about 17 months. and I'd like each day to show and be grouped by month (Jan 1-31 one group, Feb 1- 28, and so on) and a new row added with the monthly total. Jan total, Feb, etc... Thank you for any video links that you may have already explained this!

I am getting error of We cannot apply field access to the type date. Can anyone help..?
@josh_excel Жыл бұрын
This was my first time seeing " type table" used, so I created a video for other ways to use it when creating a table. Sadly, it doesn't change text to the specified data type like a normal Changed Data Type step does. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipm3aYqghKuZo5o
