from 3:15 to end Instead of custom action you can use SWS Extension action "SWS/S&M: Toggle show all floating FX for selected tracks" (I know that you know this Kenny)

I wonder if a similar thing can be done for monitor fx rack...

Thank you again Kenny! When I hit the keystroke and all the FX open, the track goes "out of focus" (I don't know if it is the correct term), so the key stroke doesn't work for closing them, unless I "re-select" the track... I couldn't find a solution anywhere in the Preferences.

Is this possible to do with 3rd party plugs?
@Fedor_Tkachev_Music6 жыл бұрын
Hello Kenny. I just set up this action and mapped it to a single key, but when I hit that key, it brings up all FX, but switches the focus from the main Reaper window to the one of the plugin's window, and then pressing that key does nothing to hide all FX, unless I click the Reaper window. Is there a way to fix this somehow, thanks. (Just found out that it works just fine with Ctrl + F instead of just F, but I wish it worked with a single key press)
@jtpinnyc6 жыл бұрын
I think what you need to do is go into the Options in the FX window and select "Ignore FX chain keyboard shortcuts."

i follow all your steps, but i can't close the fx windows with the new keystroke. it only works, if i click on the track and hit the keystroke after that. can anybody give me a hint?

you saved as a Project. I have saved similar as Temple. Open template for a new project. Question: How do you created a saved "track" FX settings. One for a vocal track and it's FX, for guitar, etc. that can be used at any time. Something like New Track option, but has all the pre-saved FX settings Is that possible? if so, what is it called? Thanks

I found this doesn't work well with 32bit bridged plugins. It'll load them fine but it won't close them. I'm going to try to SWS extension to see if I have better luck. Your tutorials are awesome bro thank you!

You say it saves with the project. I assume it would also save with a project template. (Yes, I know I can just try it...and I will.)

Ok, I tried it. It does save with a project template, as suspected.

Is it just me...or does he....remind you...also...of Christopher Walken...when ....he talks?
@elicol68836 жыл бұрын
No, since the first time I watched a video of Kenny Gioia I had Christopher Walken in mind. A long time I even imagined him when listening to Kennys voice. But then I searched the internet to finally find a video which shows Kenny in person and since then the imagination is gone. ;) They both have a noticeable accentuation as if they are questioning everything. I like it. And I like the way Kenny describes things. Very easy to follow and memorize.
@vegardyrnes17936 жыл бұрын
..Cristopher Walken is also one of the greats :-)

Actually, he reminds me more of Chef John. But without the humor and the cayenne... I really like Kenny's style of presentation, always concise and to the point.
