Creating a PCB manually in Circuit Wizard

Hi Andy. I don't think that they are available for Circuit Wizard as preset components in the Gallery. There is a way of compiling an IC from it's component parts, but it's been a long time since I looked into that. Also, the only microcontrollers supported are New Wave's own GENIE PIC. However, if you just want to draw a PCB layout you can use the DIL generic pads.

Sorry for the delay in responding. You'll find it in the Gallery (Circuit Diagrams) under Integrated Circuits / 4000B Series. Its just called 4017B (called a 'Decoded Decade (Divide-by-10) Counter').

There are parts for most components in the libraries that come with the software. You can design custom components, but it’s been a while since I last used the software and cannot recall how to do it.

Can you show the printing process and what you print it to ?

You can print onto transparency and use the photo-etch method of manufacture. I believe that you can also save as a gerber file for CNC and drilling.

Hello, I have ver 1.50 Pro version and when I print the solder side mirrored, the copper text is printed both mirrored and non-mirrored making the text all a mess. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks Alan

I know this is old, but is there a way to place/route components exactly as I have them laid out are in circuit diagram view? I've spent a good bit of time routing the connections in there, and I'd like to keep them as close to my original design as possible. I've tried grouping/locking them, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. I've made a binary clock, which seems to be at the upper limit of Circuit Wizard, as far as I can tell. In any event, it places my LED's and switches in strange positions... it would take quite a bit of effort to go back through and place/route everything manually.
