As I ventured into using natural bones for the first time in my art and sculpture, I discovered a profound joy in this unique medium. The process was an exploration of wonder and connection with the natural world, the bone carrying a story of time and life.
The process of transforming this skeletal element into my artwork allowed me to honor the creature it once belonged to and celebrate the cycles of life and death.
This turtle man has the soul of a turtle and the body I will create for him will celebrate the mystic beauty these of these animals.
Turtles are magnificent creatures known for their unique and enduring beauty. Their ancient design, characterized by a bony shell that envelops and protects their bodies, is a marvel of nature. The diverse patterns and colors on their shells, which can range from intricate mosaics to subtle gradients, add to their visual appeal. Turtles' graceful, slow movements in water are a testament to their elegance, and the wisdom in their eyes, seen through their distinctive, weathered features, tells a story of resilience and timelessness. Turtles remind us of the serene and tranquil beauty found in the natural world.
