2 hours? Omg... you'd make a whole MMORPG world if you had 2 days.

Hey, you ever thought about doing any underwater scenes or anything water heavy (lots of water/waterfalls)?
@evilmrfrank8 жыл бұрын
Perhaps some day, would need the correct art assets to do them :)
@nickreid77378 жыл бұрын
This is incredible but I must ask. Where do you get all of the assets used in your videos? Do you create them yourself, buy them or a bit of both? Great video btw.
@KonkzPlays8 жыл бұрын
Would it be possible for you to either record both monitors/put tools back on your main monitor? I use this as an inspiration and usually watch this in slow motion in order to grasp what you're doing an apply it to my scenes, but it's hard to do with your new videos as you split the tools and recording software away.

Totally awesome! Are you creating these scenes without any pictures as templates?
@evilmrfrank8 жыл бұрын
Most of the scenes I create without a template but this one specifically I chose to follow a specific art piece - www.cgsociety.org/cgsarchive/newgallerycrits/g92/213392/213392_1321825377_large.jpg

I know this may be impossible but is there any free materials that I can just mess around with? Such as grass, some mountains texures, etc? I know I couldn't use them for creating a game that I could put online or anything else but I would love just to make games that only I use. Also great job on this!
@rahulkrupani27367 жыл бұрын
Well, there is the Open World Demo Collection that Epic Games provides
@joshuaphilip72537 жыл бұрын
go into the learn tab and download all the free projects, you can also go into the marketplace and download thins like Infinity Blade Grass lands, Fire lands, and Ice land

can you give us more pointers on the assets that you use. i recognize some kite stuff but i fail to recognize the towers and bridge.
@brbrd1028 жыл бұрын
Hey any advice/tips/resources for someone who wants to get started on this kind of stuff? Where should I start? Are there any good "free" assets/textures/materials I could use and still make it look somewhat passable? I have no desire to spend actual money until I get good enough at it. I want to work with the UE4 engine specifically.
@sacredsandswarriors8 жыл бұрын
Nice! Hey, could a scene with this much detail be playable? Or is it just for cinematic purposes?
@evilmrfrank8 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! There really isn't that much detail used in this scene. This was actually running at about 90FPS entirely unoptimized and while recording the footage so it would probably be quite easy to get it up to 120FPS if optimized properly.
@Revalopod7 жыл бұрын
How would you optimize it? Make different LoDs?
@pazselmo8 жыл бұрын
what is that you use to mimic fog? couldn't find anything like that on the marketplace
@RoboRhino138 жыл бұрын
Do you work on just the one monitor, or do you have multiple? And if so, what's going on on the other screens?
@evilmrfrank8 жыл бұрын
I use two monitors. The other monitor is where I change all the settings for meshes, lights, landscape, etc... I also keep my tools and content browser in the other screen.

From where do you get all these assets from? Is there a specific pack?
@NIC0409017 жыл бұрын
Just the sore i guess, turbosquid is good too. just serach a bit on google and you'll find some free stuff. The unreal engine also has some starter content, but it's very basic
@kayzo89958 жыл бұрын
How do I find a tutorial for this ?
@MKPerformanceTuning8 жыл бұрын
Do you do requests? I shall pay?
@evilmrfrank8 жыл бұрын
I can do requests but if I have to have the correct art assets to do specific sets. If people are willing to pay for specific art packs that they would want to see a scene created with I could definitely do that :)
@MKPerformanceTuning8 жыл бұрын
Let's make a gofundme page guys!

hey evilmrfrank, how much would a gaming computer cost to run Unreal Engine 4? $300-500?
@SnaredSpecial18 жыл бұрын
IMO, you'd probably need to spend $1000+ if you want it to run well. You could probably get it running fine on a $500 computer, but would be limited to what you can do on it.
@OAJpnh8 жыл бұрын
My $750 computer can run it well for the most part.
@kenny.h18 жыл бұрын
well I want to get into game design, and have a game in mind what would have four huge free roam locations, and I have very little money. So I might have to wait a while until I can learn Level Design I guess..
@OAJpnh8 жыл бұрын
BigDiggerNick you can start learning with unity. It's not as resource intensive as unreal, and it's fairly easy to learn. I would also encourage you to start learning photoshop, blender, and basic programming (if you haven't already). Just because you can't get a certain software or your computer is in the slow side doesn't mean you can't learn :D unity is still a really good engine, minus the lighting that unreal is known for.

thats the thing, I dont have a computer at all lol.
