12:43 guiding light tells us that figure cannot only uses his ears to spot players he also uses vibrations. So i assume he can senses the players heartbeat (i also think he uses echo-location when light comes out of his mouth)

I got an idea before Floor 2 came out where the light is like him using echo-location to see where he is and so find prey and if the player moves into that light Figure goes after them

its theorized that Figure is a homunculous, which are essentially magical golems made of flesh and bone, often created by demons or powerful evil magic users. (also i was the one who suggested the spine thing, i wasnt there for the whole stream but this is so cool)

Figure is reputed to be quite stupid but is actually incredibly intelligent. He locks the exit door to the library and waits just inside the front door to ambush anyone entering and even if they sneak past, they are locked in the room with him. Then if you do get past him, he manages to Shea around the hotel to overtake you even without going the most direct rout and lock himself in with the elevator at door 100 so when you open it he can ambush you again. Then he manages to find his way back to the elevator through a burning building after falling out of the window, jumping onto the elevator, derail it and then jump out again to safety before it crashes. And he does all of this whilst being blind.

figure to me looks like a homunculus, given his fleshy look. i also think he was created/constructed by a higher power like mischievous light and curious light. your model is what i would think figure would actually look a lot like the homunculus i was talking about.

Another cool fact about figure is that he is a predetor of gloombats he eats them in mines and it make sense cause they make so much noise so figure would not take long or like would struggle to get them

You should try modeling in the style Doors / Pressure do for their monsters (Modeled in 3D) where everything (Sebastians fingers are separated into 2 parts, figures body parts are all separated) sort of like a Roblox rig. It would be really cool seeing you model every part of the body individually! :)

The light that comes from Figures mouth does nothing special, its just a light. It only turns on when he roars and that only happens when he hears a player or when he completes his walking path. He can only sense heartbeats and hear footsteps, he can also feel vibration

Figure is an animalistic entity according to the devs, the lore says he is very muscular but I think the style of the game doesn't show that. I think the rib cage isn't his own but he is just wearing it. As for the eyes part he can sense you through by vibrations/sound but not sight, the light seems to be more of like an echolocation type thing. Also good model

Figure may have been created in the mines. As you can see in the game, Figure eats Gloombats. Gloombats are attracted to light, so his mouth glows to catch his prey.

the whole theory thing is really funny. recently people have found out that the wingdings in the new courtyard read "Limbo" and say that this means DOORS is based in a limbo, which explains a lot of the game. including why figure is like it is. so there's my explanation.

there was a theory i heard where demon type things like figure were grown from the ground? kinda what i mean is they threw meat,bones and hair in a hole in the ground and probably forgot about him. he was most likely grown for a while cause he came out of the ground im guessing when the hotel got abandoned, and he most likely wandered off from the courtyard to the library.

The reason for why figgure can sense you when you are in his light is because it causes your heartbeat to quicken. Alowing them to hear it. (The locker minigame shows figgure CAN hear heartbeats that are too loud)

Him* to hear it, the light not only makes figure's sensing/hearing, but it can also be chaotic like figure running around for no reason, his hearing(I think) MIGHT be stronger when his light is on(this is just a theory aight? Also he eats them gloombats since it makes loud heck noise)

I have some more ideas for figure: so my idea is that figure might actually used to be a world war 2 soldier as a lot of the stuff we see in the hotel is from world war 2 era and similar to game theory’s theory on doors in ww2 the Germans might have tried creating flesh monsters. And they used figure as a human to create a flesh monster aka figure as we see them now

Figures backstory (my fanmade) Figure used to be a little kid looking for books. His mom let him get as many looks as he could carry. He loved horror at the time, so he grabbed, well, horror books. He started reading them the next day and one of them was really scary and gave him nightmares. That night, he started believing it and got hungry for something. He felt like.. Flesh. So he ate his mom and grew big. He covered himself in his mom's guts and went back to the library to return the books. He ate the bookkeeper. And the reason he was blind is because the bookkeeper stunned him in the eyes with a bulklight. Thank you for letting me tell your story! 😊
