finally, a video that shows how you can build a route at home using active captain app, move it to chart plotter, and take it to the trolling motor so it can track the route while you fish and don't have to worry about steering it with pedals or a remote. Thank you.....thank you.... thank you!

Great video! Just wondering if you know if it is possible to make a full circle so once I reach the end of my route I don’t have to restart it, I troll a small weedbed and it takes like 8 minutes to do a full circle and gets annoying to restart it every time, Thanks!

Hey, enjoy your vids. Very well done. Maybe a future video??? How to convert my custom contour mapping to a format that I can view on my PC. I like to study my contour mapping at home when I'm not fishing. Would like to be able without sitting in the boat.... and without using active captain due to not wanting all my work to become public

Very helpful, is there a way to edit a route? Seems to me that once you click on a turn there's no deleting it or moving it.

I haven’t tried to edit but you can also do it on your fishfinder.

I spider rig for crappie and was wondering what does the force do at the end of a route? Often when spider rigging I will troll up a channel edge then turn and go back down the same channel just doing it manually. So question is can the force follow a route then at the end auto start heading back along the route in the other direction?
@The_Garmin_Guru Жыл бұрын
It may can but most likely you would need to select the route again
@shawnwilliams41773 ай бұрын
you just go to the route and select reverse route and it will track backwards to the start waypoint. awesome.

I rely on your videos so much!! Thank you for doing this. I have a question on my remote. All my batteries are charged and new batteries installed in the remote. I noticed that I have a battery box at the top of my remote with a red bar above it. I have Lithium batteries charging my force. Do you know what that red bar means of I’m charged?
@The_Garmin_Guru7 ай бұрын
I’d have to see a pic. But change the battery to voltage so you can see if the battery voltage is dropping an extreme amount.

What I did was I was on Lake Buchanan and on my 93sv display I saw something I wanted to mark so I save that spot. Then on my display I selected to have the force take me back to that spot but it wouldn't. if all that makes sense. Do you have any words of wisdom

I really like the videos and this one helped me a lot, Curious, I've been to a local lake a few times and I have tracks saved. Besides being on the fish finder creating a route, using tracks is there any way of doing that from my PC or even my phone? I'll assume no since it appears tracks are saved to the card and not uploaded. Thank you for your help.

Nice video- very helpful. How do you set the speed for the route you made?
@The_Garmin_Guru3 жыл бұрын
That’s set by how fast you adjust the prop speed on the trolling motor. The lowest setting is pretty slow.

I find it difficult to use my 94sv UHD2 up to it's full capability. Great video but boy it would be nice if Garmin actually included a relatively complete users guide on both the Echomap and ActiveCaptain. I mean wth gimme some info. You know, when i bought the unit they failed to put on the box that you needed to load ActiveCaptain and the it wasn't already in board. I paired my phone and the unit without any problem but it still feels like a lie

And another... I have submited this to Garmin, but who knows if they have seen it.... future update... the simple ability to turn off and on the icon numbers. Nobody wants to see them cluttering the screen. You would only turn them on to edit or delete. Your platform could possibly get this pushed through

While I am at it, coming from an understanding of youtube content, my son, being an gold youtube creator, I will throw out some more ideas that you would be a good fit for an informative video... Clearing out the max number of whatever it is, I can't remember... I've done it before... that causes your icons not to show as you ascribed it but rather the dreaded 3 green dots. When I'm running gps through hazzards, I hate those green dots because they enlarge my hazzard icon which reduces your navigation ability.
