These videos are helping me understand additional benefits from Garmin products. I just need to devote time on the water to familiarize myself with them.

Great idea; I'm going to try it! I have a Stryker7 and am new to using graphs. I've tried side scan several times in 15-30 FOW and have had difficulty picking out any timber. It does not seem to make much difference with the range set between 60' to 100' at 2.8-3mph. I have been able to locate timber, a shad ball and crappie with ClearVu (Downscan) but the area you can search is right behind the boat (and a much smaller area). Thanks for video & tip!!

I’ll have a new series coming next week similar to the what are you seeing series on Livescope where we are gonna break down sidevu and down vu. Keep an eye out.

Great video about lowering your speed for greater detail. Wish I had coughed up the extra cash for the force when I bought that motorguide but hind sight is 20-20. 🙂

The dimples are fish beds I was told but that’s pretty cool
@The_Garmin_Guru3 жыл бұрын
Yea I’ve been told that but lost people say it’s a sign of hard bottom. I’ve got some pics and videos of beds and usually there is more than one. Thanks for watching bud

If your transducer is level it should read great a 3 mph.. but the trolling motor works great in shallow water with the big motor trimed up..
@The_Garmin_Guru2 жыл бұрын
Oh it will read but I get more detailed pics using the trolling motor. Plenty of video proof I promise

Can you mark a brush pile you find on sidevu, select a waypoint and, have the force navigate you over to the brush pile?

If you’re unit and trolling motor are paired

Are you using the GT 56 on the transom.
@The_Garmin_Guru3 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s the gt56 but for some reason the unit selected the gt54 that day. Didn’t recognize it was on gt54 til I watched the video.

What do you have your refresh rate speed, or whatever it’s called, set to?
@The_Garmin_Guru2 жыл бұрын
I use auto. Garmins auto setting is pretty legit.

If you trim main motor, the yellow line left in the black zone of the sideview probably goes away as well
@The_Garmin_Guru Жыл бұрын
I do trim it up. Product of limited mounting options.

I need to network my two 94 UHD's so I can use the Force transducer from the driver seat.
@The_Garmin_Guru2 жыл бұрын
You don’t need to network them To do that. I have a video. They link wirelessly

@@The_Garmin_Guru I have Livescope coming also as soon as the LVS34 is available. I'll need the hub to use Livescope on both units. Until I get the LS though, I'll try the wireless route. I'll look for the video. Thanks for the tip.

@@richardcarlisle6692 HOW TO LINK THE GARMIN FORCE TO YOUR GARMIN FISHFINDER IN UNDER 1 MINUTE kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6Kwd6pmgbClhLM

@@The_Garmin_Guru I've already linked the Force to the front unit, but unless I'm mistaken. only one Echomap can connect to the Force at a time and that doesn't share the built in transducer on the force with other Echomaps. Wouldn't I need the hub to share transducers? IE: Use the Force transducer on the rear Echomap? If I network via a hub, I should be able to select which transducer to use on each unit as well as view Livescope on both units. Correct?
@The_Garmin_Guru2 жыл бұрын
@@richardcarlisle6692 brother I for sure missed the word transducer behind the force. Disregard all my comments. I’m stupid. 😂
